Key Job Responsibilities – Castlerea Swimming Pool The principal duties and responsibilities will be to: ➢ Maintain a high level of vigilance at all times while on duty to ensure the safety of users of the swimming pool, particularly young children. ➢ Supervise swimming sessions to ensure safety. ➢ Assist in swimming instruction and water safety instruction. ➢ In the case of an emergency, employees will be required, in co-operation with the other lifeguards, to administer First Aid and arrange for the prompt summoning of medical attention as may be necessary. Liaising with the Technical Manager in relation to start times, running times and durations of performances and responding to the needs of performers as directed by the Technical Manager. • Bar: Setting up bar for service, operating the bar facility on performance evenings / days and assisting in the general maintenance of bar operations including bottling up, replenishing of stock, rotating of stock, stock ordering, stock taking and cleaning of the bar facility. • Green Room: Maintaining the Green Room facility – setting up welcome trays, tidying of the space during the evening and replenishing stocks if and when necessary. • Evacuation Procedures: Assisting in the Centre’s evacuation procedures in the case of emergencies. • Flexibility: The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to work and be adaptable to carry out any other duties from time to time as might be reasonably assigned by management in relation to the employment as an Events Assistant. The salary shall be fully inclusive and shall be as determined from time to time. The holder of the post shall pay to the local authority any fees or other monies (other than their inclusive salary) payable to and received by them by virtue of their post or in respect of services which they are required by or under any enactment to perform. In accordance with EL02 / 2011 persons who are not serving Local Authority employees must be placed on the minimum of the scale. The rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with government policy. 4. Fixed Term Locum Relief SUPPORT WORKERS (Department of Health - Care Assistant Disability Services salary grade) Summary of the Role of Support Worker: Support Workers provide a key-working supportive role for individuals supported by the service. The Support Worker role is to support the person in all aspects of daily living focusing on the individual’s ability and promoting independence and development of skills at all times. The Support Worker will assist and support people who use the service with development of their individual person centred plans and the achievement of personal outcomes, and critically, to support people who use the service in participating in the ordinary everyday life of the community through inclusive and creative thinking. The Support Worker is also responsible for all aspects of personal care required during the day. This includes meals, personal hygiene and other related aspects of physical well-being. The Brothers of Charity Services model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual.
