The role The Clinical Specialist (MRI) will deliver a quality, patient focused imaging service providing general radiography in line with standards and protocols, to a high technical quality, in a caring and efficient manner and in line with established guidelines and operating procedures. The position of Radiographer, Clinical Specialist (MRI) requires an ability to lead, guide and supervise radiographic and other staff and to successfully manage and deliver a quality patient focussed imaging service to the MR service, with effective utilisation of all resources allocated To manage in a rapidly changing environment and be willing to undertake such additional duties within the Diagnostic Imaging Department also, as may be assigned from time to time. The person Candidates must have at the latest date of application: 1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc. (a) Candidates for appointment must: (i) Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Radiography Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU. Practical clinical experience will include time assigned to work in the relevant specialist area but needs to comply with the following breakdown: • Pre commencement of a postgraduate course (maximum of 1 year* allowed); • Time spent completing the post graduate course (maximum of 1 year** allowed); • A minimum of 2 years’ experience* following completion of a postgraduate course. *A minimum of 12 weeks assigned to work in the relevant specialised area will be required for each relevant year to be counted. ** The research component of a postgraduate programme will count towards the post course time once the Radiographer has successfully completed the taught components of the programme. The starting salary for this role is €37,404 per annum Job Summary The purpose of this role is to provide high-level administrative support to Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB). The successful candidate will assist in the delivery of quality services, in line with the organisation's remit, working collaboratively with colleagues across WWETB and the wider community, including schools and Further Education and Training Centres. WWETB is committed to continually improving the quality and effectiveness of its services and systems, spanning multiple functions, including Schools, Further Education and Training Centres, Finance, Human Resources, and Corporate Services. The responsibilities of this role will support these efforts, as detailed below. Youthreach is an innovative programme launched jointly by the Departments of Education and Youth and Enterprise and Employment for unqualified early school leavers. The programme aims to provide young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to participate fully in society and progress in further education, training and employment. The programme requires staff who are flexible, multi-disciplined and experienced. A high degree of motivation and commitment to the person-centred model of training is essential, as is a commitment to working with the target group. Key Responsibilities The Youthreach Resource Person plays a vital role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of the assigned area. Working closely with line managers and colleagues, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of services and the achievement of organisational goals. The postholder will provide 20 hours of direct class contact in both QQI and Leaving Certificate Applied. The subjects are Personal Effectiveness - 4 hours, Childcare - 8 hours & Social Education - 8 hours. In addition, the post holder will perform centre administration duties for the remainder of the 15 hours.
