This provision is delivered to over 48,000 learners (20,000 full-time and 28,000 part -time) and is supported by a range of services including a psychological service, a curriculum development unit, a buildings maintenance unit and Head Office staff in Ballsbridge. It also has statutory responsibility for supporting the provision, coordination, administration and assessment of youth work services in Dublin city and is the lead partner for Music Generation Dublin City. City of Dublin ETB is also responsible for the national awarding authority for student grants in Ireland, Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI). Details of Position: The position will be based in City of Dublin ETB Head Offices, Pembroke Place, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, D04 PP46 and will report to the Head of Procurement. Salary: €54,546 - €66,639 including two long service increments) (pro rata). The successful candidate will be place one point one unless they have previous public sector experience. Annual Leave : 27 working days per annum (pro rata). Hours of Work: 35 hours per week. Essential Requirements: • Have obtained at least Grade D3 in five subjects in the Leaving Certificate Examinations (higher, ordinary, applied or vocational preparation) or equivalent or have passed an examination at the appropriate level within QQI qualifications framework which can be assessed as being of a comparable standard to Leaving Certificate or equivalent or higher or have appropriate relevant experience which encompasses equivalent skills and expertise. • Have the requisite knowledge, skills and competencies to carry out the role. • Be capable and competent of fulfilling the role to a high standard. Desirable Requirements: • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a procurement role and a detailed knowledge of national and EU public procurement rules and regulations or work experience in a finance, compliance or other relevant corporate governance role which in the opinion of City of Dublin ETB is relevant to the post. • A recognised qualification in public procurement or have undergone comprehensive public procurement training which in the opinion of City of Dublin ETB is relevant to the post or similar experience in Finance or Supply Chain within the public (preferred) or private sector or have a degree equivalent to level 7 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications in a relevant discipline as may be considered appropriate in the discretion of City of Dublin ETB . • Significant experience in managing staff including but not limited to general staff supervision, team work scheduling, staff development and training. • Excellent administrative and IT Skills. • Have an understanding of the main features and current challenges of public service and regulatory reform. • Ability to use initiative (being self-motivated, flexible, results focused etc.) to prioritise and manage work in a dynamic and pressurised environment. • Proven record as a team-player with a flexible approach demonstrating sound judgement, problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills. • Demonstrated experience of building and maintaining relationships in face-to-face meetings, verbally and in written communications in a clear and concise manner. An Cosán Community Special School is a child-centred, co-educational, multi denominational, publicly accountable school which strives to provide high quality education for every child attending. The new school will cater for an enrolment of up to 24 students when it is established and, on a phased basis, is expected to grow its capacity to provide up to 60 school places in the short to medium term, pending a new permanent school building being provided. In accordance with Section 22 of the Education Act 1988, and Section 23 of the Education (Amendment) Act 2012, the Principal provides leadership to teachers, other staff and to the pupils and the wider community. The Deputy Principal has overall responsibility, under the direction of Principal, for the day-to-date management of the school. The Deputy Principal will be supported by the Principal, City of Dublin ETB, the National Council for Special Education (NCSE) and the Department of Education. The NCSE will also support the school in developing an appropriate transition arrangement for pupils as they enrol in the school.
