Depaul wishes to recruit to the following role: Relief Worker Across all Dublin Services €16.27 per/hour “As and When Required” basis Required to be available to cover shifts across a 24/7 rota (including waking night shifts) - night shift cover urgently required as per service delivery need Your role: This role offers a fantastic opportunity to provide support to our organisation’s central services team in Dublin. Depaul is a values-led organisation working with a number of services throughout Dublin and Belfast. This role will report directly to the Local Management Team and will be responsible for providing an efficient and high quality service at any one of our projects working alongside a fully trained staff team to provide supported accommodation, food and shelter to residents. Because of the transient nature of the role, relief workers will be required to think on their feet and to adapt to new situations quickly. This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse team of talented individuals. Case Worker
Case Worker – Tuath Location: Dublin working Hybrid/Remote €37109.46 Fixed Term 12 months 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday Your New Role This role is to provide case management support to families from different nationalities. The primary goal is to support households to sustain their tenancies, settle into their new homes and communities, with focus on integration, developing strong networks and capacity building. You will be working directly with service users, to achieve the best outcomes, using the Depaul Support Toolkit and be able to access other relevant wraparound services needed for client’s progression. Essential Criteria Social Studies /Case Management Accredited Qualification Full Valid Driver’s Licence and access to the use of a car At least two years of working, as a case manager with service users with complex needs and co-ordinating support plans for service users. At least one year of regular use of IT systems with a good proficiency in Excel & Word. At least one year work experience of using Cloud applications, such as Salesforce. Experience of working in liaison with other agencies within the voluntary and statutory sectors. A clear understanding of the case management approach. Experience in outreach or tenancy sustainment capacity. Experience in working with families. Work experience of working directly with people from different nationalities. Good knowledge about the immigration system, legislation and nationality matters in Ireland. An understanding of why people become homeless or may be at risk of homelessness and the issues they present with, particularly in relation to substance misuse. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written and electronic (including statistical and qualitative reports). Ability to be flexible and work in a variety of settings, with a variety of teams. An ability to work collaboratively with other agencies (both statutory and voluntary), be able to demonstrate an excellent work ethic. An ability to (and understanding of how to) advocate on behalf of the service users. An understanding of the statutory and voluntary sector services available to immigrants and homeless people and/or people with alcohol misuse issues. Ability to work according to the principles of Harm Reduction and Low threshold work. Excellent organisational skills and communication skills. An understanding of the health and safety issues, especially in regard to lone working. An ability to show initiative and develop solutions to problems.
