CORLANN WEST 2 x TEMPOARY FULL TIME BASIC GRADE SOCIAL WORKERS ADULTS SERVICES WEST SECTOR - GALWAY JOB REF: 104989 The Role: To provide a Social Work service to adults with intellectual disability and their families in day, residential, respite and community settings. The initial role will involve supporting individuals and families linked to the Corlann West Sector. Reporting/Responsible To: Head of Social Work Department/Social Work Team Leader. Qualifications: • Candidates must have MSW or CQSW or a Letter of Accreditation and current CORU registration. Experience: • Candidates must have adequate training and experience to carry out satisfactorily the duties of the post. Experience of working with adults with intellectual disability is an advantage. Skills: • Candidates must demonstrate competency in applying theory, legislation, knowledge and skills in Social Work within the service area of adults and intellectual disability. • Candidates must also demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. • It is critical that the selected candidate works effectively within a dynamic team environment using a person-centred philosophy. • Candidates are expected to work within their professional code of ethics at all times. The Health Service is undergoing ongoing transformation and therefore it is critical that a flexible attitude to changing environments and work requirements is held by the successful candidate. A full clean Irish driving licence and use of a car is an essential requirement of the post. Working Hours: 70 hours a fortnight rostered Monday to Friday. Contracted hours of work are liable to change from 8am to 8pm to meet the requirements of the programme. Locum Staff Nurse/*Enhanced Nurse roles are also available. Location: Castlerea Adult Services (Castlerea, Ballintubber, Ballinlough, Cloonfad areas). Staff allocation could be either within residential/respite/day settings or in community services or in an individual’s own home. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Castlerea services and this work location may change due to future service needs. Purpose of the role: To assist and lead on the provision of a comprehensive pharmacy service assisting in the medication management process and promoting the delivery of safe, effective and cost-effective dispensary, oncology pharmacy and clinical pharmacy services. Provides direction and support to fellow staff members regarding safe use of medication. The Pharmacy Department at Tipperary University Hospital provides pharmaceutical services in the hospital which include; dispensary services, stock top up services, medicines information, provision of chemotherapy and some ward-based clinical pharmacy services. Pharmacy services are provided by the department to patients being treated in the following specialities; medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, intensive care, cardiology, oncology, emergency medicine and psychiatry (including outpatient clozapine, depot dispensing and residential unit medication supply). The department also provides services to Caredoc, Health Centres, Community Care Clinics, Vaccines, Occupational Health. The team structure within the department comprises pharmacists, technicians, clerical administration and portering staff.
