Location : Crompton Street Unit 7A, Grand Arcade, Wigan WN1 1BH. Contract Offered : Full-time, permanent Working Hours / Shifts : 40 hours per week, alternating between Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday, 8.40am to 5.20pm. Later shifts may be included in the future. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Right to Work Requirement Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire. What does the Phlebotomist role involve? This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS). • Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent. • Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation. • Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments. • Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic. • Proactively drive sales and exceed targets. • Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately. • Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks. • General housekeeping duties. • Uphold clinic cleanliness. Essential criteria: • Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training. • Confident using IT programmes. • Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends. • Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month. • Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship. • Valid UK driving licence Desirable: • Experience in a private healthcare setting. • Exeperience in customer service. • 2 years experience in Phlebotomy. • Sales / Retail experience.

Trainer Assessor In Leadership And Management

Job Purpose: The Trainer Assessor will play a significant role in the delivery of the growth and development strategy for the Department of Business and Skills. The post holder will work to ensure that Belfast Met is recognised for excellence in its delivery of training, apprenticeships and employer engagement and to ensure that the College is recognised as a partner for success in the delivery of the economic vision for the region. The post holder will be employed as a Trainer Assessor, working on the College’s DFE funded provisions, including AppsNI, within BMET’s Department for Business and Skills. Reporting to the Employer Engagement Executive, the post-holder will deliver on BMET’s growth strategy by developing relationships with employers and assessing how their training and development needs could benefit through the funded programmes. The post-holder will deliver knowledge, and skills transfer through a range of methods such as directed training, workshop sessions, facilitative workshops, and other forms of assessment such as observations, professional discussions and knowledge testing. The post-holder will have clear targets to increase the volume of work and income within their professional and technical area and for ensuring that BMET benefits from the employer engagement in terms of industrial knowledge transfer and curriculum development. These teams are under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. In line with New Directions policy, the aim of the service is to provide every individual with opportunities to make meaningful choices and engage in new experiences, supporting personal growth and community inclusion. Each day service is made up of a dedicated staff team and these staff teams are supported through a line management structure, supervision, in house training relevant to the support needs of the person supported and ongoing support from multidisciplinary teams. The candidate will be assigned to a day service location based on their experience, qualification and the service need. THE ROLE As a community facilitator in a day service, you will support adults with intellectual disabilities and autism, through a person centred approach, in achieving their full potential by facilitating them to engage in meaningful day activities based on their will and preference. The service will be in a day service environment, you will work as a member of a team under the supervision of senior staff in line with the principles of New Directions, promoting independence, choice, inclusion and meaningful community participation. You will work as part of the team and provide support on a planned basis. Networking and developing strong links within the community is an integral part of this role. You will be required to support an after work programme on a rostered/rotational basis, some evenings and Saturdays in line with HSE Policy New Directions.
