Clinical Specialist Radiographer / Ultrasonographer

Tenure: This is a Full Time temporary contract of employment. Remuneration: Remuneration is in accordance with salary scales approved by the Department of Health / Health Service Executive. The salary scale for this post currently ranges from €66,248 - €78,250 gross per annum (Grade Clinical specialist band 3131 as of 1/6/2026). Assimilation onto the scale is based on relevant work experience and in accordance with circular 17/0213 for existing permanent employees. Payment is made on a monthly basis by credit transfer. Hours: 35 hours per week, exclusive of unpaid rest breaks. Annual Leave: 30 working days per annum. Qualifications EXPERIENCE (DURATION & TYPE) Candidates for appointment must: - Be registered on the Radiography Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU. - Possess a recognised post graduate qualification in Ultrasound Imaging - Have not less than 3 years’ full time post qualification clinical experience in Ultrasound - On appointment practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU once initial registration is secured. - Paediatric Ultrasound is desirable but not essential. EXPERIENCE (DURATION & TYPE) - 3 years post-qualification experience. - Experience in Neonatal or Paediatric Radiography is desirable but not essential. Gynaecology ultrasound experience is desirable but not essential. Key Responsibilities: Data Governance & KPI Stewardship · Support the development and adoption of group data standards, KPI definitions, and reporting principles, working collaboratively with regional and functional stakeholders · Champion best practices in data governance, ensuring analytics and reporting solutions align with agreed standards, controls, and business requirements. · Partner with regional, technology, and business teams to improve reporting consistency and trust in decision-making. Operational Excellence in Insight Delivery · Oversee the delivery of repeatable, scalable insight solutions across the group. · Manage a portfolio of analytics, reporting, and data initiatives, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, priorities, and business objectives. · Lead the development and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and tools that support day-to-day and strategic decision-making. · Maintain clear delivery plans and provide regular status updates on progress, milestones, dependencies, and key decisions. · Proactively identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and blockers, driving solution-focused actions to keep projects on track. Project Ownership & Strategic Analytics · Lead high-impact, cross-functional analytics initiatives that support strategic priorities such as customer insight, pricing, and performance optimisation. · Manage the full lifecycle of analytics projects—from scoping and stakeholder alignment to delivery and impact measurement. · Contribute to the evolution of our Universal Data Platform and Group Reporting Taskforce initiatives. The Candidate should have the following: Qualifications, experience & skills · The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years in commercial analytics and 3+ years in people or project leadership roles, preferably in a multi-region or retail environment. · Deep expertise in BI tools (Power BI essential) and advanced Excel modelling. · Comprehensive understanding of data governance, KPI frameworks, and reporting best practices. · Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and to influence executive-level stakeholders. · Commercially & strategically minded with a deep understanding of how data drives business performance and growth. · Ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
