A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for St. Columcille’s Hospitalfrom which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. St. Columcille’s Hospital is located on the border of County Wicklow. It is a model 2 hospital and is aligning itself to the Sláintecare vision. It has 117 inpatient beds and provides a range of services to a diverse population covering South County Dublin and County Wicklow. St. Columcille’s Hospital is committed to providing a quality, patient focused service in a way that meets all patient needs in an equitable, efficient and safe manner. We acknowledge the contribution of each member of staff and aim to encourage and support them in their on-going professional development. Services include a 7/7 Local Injury Unit, 7/7 Medical Assessment Unit, 113 medical inpatient beds incorporating Stroke & Ortho Rehab Units, Endoscopy, a 5/7 Day Surgery Unit, an Outpatient Department, Radiology and various diagnostic services for local GPs. St. Columcille’s Hospital acts as a hub and spoke model for integrated care. Located in St. Columcille’s Hospital is the National Centre for all obesity management and the National Gender Service. The Occupational Therapy Department in St. Columcille’s Hospital provides a dynamic and holistic Occupational Therapy service to in patients and out patients attending St. Columcille’s Hospital. With strong relationships with our community partners and our multidisciplinary team colleagues we strive to deliver quality and meaningful interventions in an efficient manner. Occupational Therapists in St. Columcille’s work to promote and enable independence in activities of daily living and to enable their patients to function at home as independently and safely as possible following a hospital admission, or medical event. Therapists have access to rehabilitation space in the Rehabilitation and Activities suite where we can provide individual assessments / interventions and group interventions. In patient services include Stroke Rehabilitation, Ortho-geraitric rehabilitation, Care of the Elderly, General medicine. Out- patients are assessed and treated in the Day hospital, in the Occupational Therapy Department, in Cardiac Rehabilitation and in the Memory Technology & Resource Room. The Frailty Intervention Team commenced in the Medical assessment Unit in November 2019. The Occupational Therapy service actively supports student education and participates in the student training scheme with other Health & Social Care Professionals and with Irish Universities. Students can be on site for up to 9 weeks at a time. All students are allocated a named supervisor and engage in formal supervision weekly. The Stroke Rehabilitation service accepts transfers of stroke patients from St. Vincent’s University Hospital for inpatient stroke Rehabilitation. The Stroke unit consists of 8 inpatient beds. SCH is currently an auxiliary service working alongside and as part of neuro-rehabilitation strategy. SCH works on collecting and collating data in line with the neuro-rehabilitation strategy & works closely with the identified specialist rehabilitation sites. SCH has established links with the local Community Neurorehabilitation Team (CNRT) and is represented on the Local Implementation Group for same. This ensures easy transition to community services, enhanced communication and promotion of integrated care. Purpose of the Post The Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist will provide the advanced clinical knowledge and expertise to design and implement a high quality service. Health and Safety The Occupational Therapist, Clinical Specialist (Stroke) will: · Draft new and update existing policies and procedures relevant to their role to ensure a safe, effective, efficient service will be delivered. · Be familiar with and ensure implementation of HSE and department policies and procedures, also ensuring compliance with Health and Safety legislation, Occupational Therapy Safety Statement etc. · Collaborate with the Occupational Therapy Manager and deputy Occupational Therapy managers by contributing to the preparation of risk assessments and safety statement for the Occupational Therapy Department. · Document all accidents, incidents and potential hazards immediately and report them to the Occupational Therapy Manager. · Advise the Occupational Therapy Manager regarding any danger/deficiency in the specialist area. · Report any emerging risk issues in a timely manner to the Occupational Therapist Manager and other relevant senior staff within their clinical team and OT service generally. · Attend fire lectures, must observe fire orders and assist in maintaining the fire register. · Participate as required in Occupational Health and Safety training. · Have a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards as they apply to the role for example, Standards for Healthcare, National Standards for the Prevention and Control of Healthcare Associated Infections, Hygiene Standards etc. and comply with associated HSE protocols for implementing and maintaining these standards as appropriate to the role. · Support, promote and actively participate in sustainable energy, water and waste initiatives to create a more sustainable, low carbon and efficient health service. HSE Circular 003-2009 “Matching Working Patterns to Service Needs (Extended Working Day / Week Arrangements); Framework for Implementation of Clause 30.4 of Towards 2016” applies. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a comprehensive organic social strategy aligned with the business objectives. • Manage and execute organic social calendars supporting internal stakeholders and partner brands. • Manage and execute paid social media campaigns across multiple social platforms. • Manage the paid digital media strategy. • Own the digital advertising budget providing detailed forecasting and performance analysis. • Utilise data and analytics tools to track performance, generate actionable insights and present key finding to stakeholders. • Support the creative team by providing data-driven insights and direction on creative assets. • Support the group digital strategy from concept through to implementation and ongoing continuous improvement.
