The apprenticeship follows the official SOLAS Toolmaking Apprenticeship Programme, leading to a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Toolmaking. Responsibilities: • Learn to interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Operate and set up CNC and manual machining equipment. • Assist in the manufacturing, assembly, and maintenance of precision tools, jigs, and fixtures. • Develop skills in metal cutting, grinding, milling, and turning. • Work under the guidance of experienced toolmakers to enhance knowledge and skills. • Maintain high standards of quality and safety in all tasks. Requirements: • A keen interest in engineering, manufacturing, and precision machining. • Minimum Junior Certificate (or equivalent); Leaving Certificate with technical subjects is an advantage. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude. • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions. Consultant In Paediatric Rheumatology Medicine
Purpose of the Role: The new post holder will support the development of a world-class department of paediatric rheumatology medicine within CHI, and along with his/her colleagues, support the paediatric consultant body in the assessment and management of complex rheumatology conditions in particular children with complex Auto inflammatory and Autoimmune disorders. The post holder will provide clinical support, advice and consultation on paediatric rheumatology cases, if required by consultant colleagues. The new post holder will work closely with other colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams in the clinical and administrative staff in the unit to develop referral pathways, service coordination, and the planning and delivery of an efficient and effective service. The post holder will be expected to participate in peer reviews, guideline development, development of policy and procedure, data collection, governance of service, staff recruitment, staff training and development of the service. Essential Criteria: a) Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the specialty ofpaediatrics. AND b) Two years postgraduate training inpaediatric rheumatology medicine The successful interviewee must be registered as a specialist in the relevant specialty on the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council of Ireland, within 180 days of the day of interview and before taking up appointment. Proleptic appointments will be considered for candidates engaged in relevant training programmes. The Consultant must, at all times while continuing to hold office, continue to be registered with the Medical Council of Ireland. Documentary evidence of Medical Council Registration is required and must be produced annually to the Medical Administration Department within the Children’s Health Ireland. Should the successful candidate not be registered as a Specialist at that time, the post may be offered to the next suitable candidate.
