Alternative Heat are looking to recruit x1 Electrical Apprentice for each stage of development to join our team in Dundalk. As a SOLAS-approved employer, we operate under the national Standards-Based Apprenticeship system, where training is structured across 7 distinct phases alternating between on-the-job site experience and off-the-job institutional blocks. We have vacancies for x1 candidate matching each of the following profiles: • Entry-Level / Phase 1: For individuals starting their journey or currently in their initial 36-week on-the-job block. Key Responsibilities by Phase Phase 1 / Entry-Level Apprentice • Site Preparation: Assist qualified craftsperson with tool organisation, site safety protocols, handling materials, and maintaining clean workspaces. • Foundational Tasks: Learn basic mechanical skills, measuring, cutting, and standard containment installation under strict, direct supervision. • Regulatory Compliance: Complete site inductions and rigorously adhere to Health & Safety requirements. Required Skills & Qualifications • Educational Minimum: Must meet the national SOLAS entry criteria (Grade D/O6 in 5 Junior/Leaving Certificate subjects, including a passing grade in Mathematics). • Phase Progress: For Phase 3 applicants, proof of successful completion of all prior SOLAS off-the-job exam phases and dynamic on-the-job logbooks will be required. Working Conditions & Benefits • Compensation: Paid via standard, progressive phased hourly trade scales. Wages are maintained throughout both your on-the-job site blocks and your off-the-job classroom phases. • Hours: Standard 44-hour construction week (Monday – Thursday 7-5pm, Friday 7-3pm) with opportunities for overtime where site demands dictate.
Sales Apprentice
Hinchys are a multi-franchise Kia and Suzuki main dealer. We have two dealerships, one in Garryspillane, Knocklong, Co. Limerick and one on the Ennis Road in Limerick City. Other services include Bodyshop, Circle K Filling Station, CVRT Testing & 24 hour Recovery. We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our expanding team in the role of Sales Apprentice with high end OTE and uncapped earnings potential. On completion of this two-year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified sales specialist, with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales. Training is provided by SOLAS and is a full registered Apprenticeship programme with an onsite mentor also. The key responsibilities for the role will include: To sell new and used vehicles Follow Kia / Suzuki sales process Deliver a first class service & customer experience Carry out accurate appraisals of all vehicles offered for part exchange Demonstrate strong communication skills and immaculate presentation Prospect for new and used car customers on a regular basis to create additional sales opportunities Manage the preparation and handover of sold vehicles to customers ensuring that the customer is given a full briefing on the operation of the vehicle and its controls Introduce customers to Aftersales staff in order that they are aware of the facilities and procedures Through the effective use of a follow up process, maintain regular contact with all new and existing customers to ensure that relationships are maintained for potential repeat business Develop and maintain full product knowledge of all products, accessories, prices and key features Ensure all customer information, sales activities, vehicle documentation and other relevant information is kept and maintained accurately and comprehensively Motor industry experience may be an advantage but training will be provided This is an exciting role that offers an excellent package with high end OTE and earnings potential.
