Senior Physiotherapist, Heart & Lung Transplant And CF Service
The job purpose is to manage, organise, and co-ordinate the physiotherapy service of the National Heart & Lung Transplant service. To work closely and collaboratively with other transplant team members to further develop the service. To provide physiotherapy leadership within the multi-disciplinary team and within the Physiotherapy Department. To work in an advisory capacity and as a central resource to therapy, medical directorates, regional or national agencies, as required. To be an integral members of the transplant team and to establish close collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders. To undertake and facilitate relevant research in the clinical area, in line with hospital policies and to present and publish research outcomes. To provide service in accordance with the mission, values and strategic plan of the MMUH. To map future physiotherapy service developments for patients in the transplant service. Implementation of the Cystic Fibrosis and Lung Transplantation in Adults Model of Care, from consideration for lung transplantation through to post transplantation care. Clinical Nurse Manager
We are seeking experienced and dynamic staff to join our fast-paced Emergency Department and Trauma Reception Unit. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality, patient centred care in a busy clinical environment. As Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) 1, the post holder will work in the Emergency Department (ED) which contains the newly established Trauma Reception at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital, one of Ireland’s two designated Major Trauma Centres (MTC). The primary role of the CNM 1 will be one of clinical and professional leadership and development in the nursing team, including the development of advanced clinical skills by means of in-service training, orientation of new staff and arranging for clinical experience and supervision of student nurses, where appropriate. The post holder will have specific responsibility for the education, professional development and mentoring of staff to ensure staff meet the required competency to deliver on the agreed standards for patients accessing care via the Emergency Department pathway. The CNM 1 will be liable to work over a 24/7 period and reports to the CNM 2 shift leader operationally and is responsible for the management, care and treatment of service users, to ensure that the optimum standard of care is provided within the designated area(s) of responsibility. Scheduled Care Manager
The Scheduled Care Manager will/is General · Required to lead and manage the Scheduled Care Department at OLHN under the principle that the care of the patient comes first at all times. The Scheduled Care Manager will approach their work with the flexibility and enthusiasm necessary to make this principle a reality for every patient to the greatest possible degree. · Be responsible for the day to day operations and effective management of the Scheduled Care Department. · Continually implement, monitor and review service quality standards for the Scheduled Care Department and all other services under the remit, in line with legislation, national standards, guidelines and best practices for the management of waiting lists. · Promote awareness of good patient care pathways to improve access within the hospital for outpatient appointments, and elective surgeries · Ensure patients on the waiting list are managed appropriately with data accuracy, integrity and confidentiality at the core of all efforts in line with national/regional KPIs. · Identify, record and manage any risks related to Scheduled Care Department in the Hospital and liaise with the Data Protection Officer on related issues. · Manage and deliver change in the transition to the new Electronic Health Record. Include and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in preparation for and during the implementation of the Electronic Health Record. · Manage budget and other resource allocation in accordance with hospital requirements and cooperate with Hospital Cost Containment initiatives as required. · Represent the Scheduled Care Department on Hospital and National/Regional committees as required.
