Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this post is to lead and co-ordinate the established Infection Prevention and Control Nursing Team (IPCT) and will be responsible, with the DON IPC and the Consultant Microbiologist(s) for co-ordinating, providing and maintaining comprehensive IPC in the organisation. To enhance patient care by developing services relating to the prevention and control of infection and to assist overall in optimising quality and continuity of care. The post holder will work collaboratively with the CNM3 in the Crumlin site (governance over Crumlin and Tallaght), to ensure that there is CNM3 cover across sites. Essential criteria: 1. Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc (a) Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition: (i) Are registered in the relevant division of the Register of Nurses & Midwives maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland [NMBI] (Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann) or entitled to be so registered. And (ii) Have at least 5 years post-registration fulltime experience (or an aggregate of 5 years post-registration full-time experience) of which 2 years (or an aggregate of 2 years post registration full time experience) must be in the specialty or related area. And (iii) Have the clinical, managerial and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role. And (iv) Candidates must have complete the Higher Diploma in IPC or equivalent and demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development. Procurement Specialist
OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE: The post holder is responsible for calculating material requirements from master production schedules, re-order reports and specific requests, and raising subsequent purchase orders with approved suppliers. They must ensure that all orders are placed within an acceptable time frame to ensure the required delivery of the material. They will be expected to follow up purchase orders to ensure on time delivery. The post holder will be expected to communicate widely with operational departments in relation to material problems or delays. JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: The post holder will – 1. Be responsible for ensuring that all purchase orders are placed in a timely manner, delivery dates are agreed with the approved supplier and that delivery dates are met. 2. Ensure that all purchased orders have all the necessary approval documentation, as per SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), before they are placed with the supplier i.e. specifications, approved samples, approved drawings, approved artwork, capital requisition forms, repair requisition forms etc. 3. Raise Item numbers on the purchasing systems for all items being purchased. 4. Ensure the purchase ordering systems is maintained and kept up to date at all times. 5. Liaise with the Client Services, Project Management and Scheduling Teams to ensure order materials are ordered and delivered in time to meet the scheduled production date. 6. Effectively resolve material queries, which have resulted due to Supplier non-conformances. This will include documentation procurement e.g. requesting the certificate of approval from a supplier when it was not included with the consignments documentation. 7. Be responsible, as part of the purchasing team, for the re-ordering of Almac Pharma Services consumable materials, laboratory requirements, engineering components and other general procurement. This will involve liaising with operational departments (eg Quality, Production, Engineering, Analytical, Client Services) to ensure their requirements are met. 8. Facilitate invoice matching by checking received quantities versus invoice quantity and invoice price against purchase order price. Follow up all invoice queries to a satisfactory resolution. 9. Responsible for the administration and filing, this includes – material and supplier specifications, purchase orders and confirmation of orders, and vendor queries. 10. Source new materials and suppliers as required 11. Prepare and present reports as required. We also provide services for children and young adults across Cork and Kerry with complex needs- Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an interdisciplinary team. Applications are invited for the following post Senior Speech & Language Therapist Ref: 22/2025 Permanent Full-time (35 hours per week) Location: Children Disability Network Team 1 – North Kerry Based in Listowel, Co. Kerry (Outreach to Castleisland/Tralee) JOB SUMMARY This post also involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young adults, 0-18yrs and their families. This will include children with Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an interdisciplinary team. These teams are under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. The local reporting relationship is to the Children’s Disability Network Manager. Speech & Language Therapists report professionally on issues of professional practice, CPD and clinical supervision to the Head of Discipline through the professional line management structure. The Therapist will work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the person supported group and the objectives of the organisation. The Senior Speech & Language Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality Speech & Language Therapy service and will carry out clinical and educational duties as required. Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided in the context of an interdisciplinary team. The CDNT aims to maximise the child/ young adult’s full potential and works within the context of the family and community, empowering and supporting parents/care givers and family members . This could include specific assessments such as, autism diagnostic assessments. Experience working with a range of Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems. Experience working with complex Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Dysphagia profiles. Experience of developing and coordinating individual family service plans (IFSPs) or equivalent in line with relevant policies and procedures would be beneficial. Demonstrate a command of the English language so as to effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role Candidates must possess the requisite clinical and administrative capabilities to fulfil the functions of the role.
