Head of Social Work (full-time/ Permanent) This senior management role has responsibility for the leadership and management of the social work team whilst input to all specialist programmes, adolescent unit and the general adult services. The post holder will also be the Designated Liaison Person for Safeguarding at Saint John of God University Hospital. The post holder is responsible to provide day-to-day leadership and operational management of the Social Work Department, ensuring effective delivery of services across General Adult Psychiatry, Adolescent Mental Health, Psychiatry of Later Life, Addiction Services, Eating Disorder Services, and other specialist programmes. Essential Criteria: · Hold a third level qualification in a relevant field · Hold relevant post graduate qualifications, ideally in healthcare or staff management · Hold Professional Membership with CORU · Demonstrate the ability to perform, lead and manage at a high level · Have significant relevant mental health experience at a senior level, ideally gained in a similar setting · Be capable to contributing to and delivering service development as well as service restructuring as necessary · Have significant experience and training in the area of Safeguarding

Hygiene Attendant
Remuneration The salary scale for the post is (as at 01/08/2025): €34,240; €36,064; €37,424; €37,991; €38,231; €38,796; €39,376; €39,832; €40,379 New appointees to any grade start at the minimum point of the scale. Incremental credit will be applied for recognised relevant service in Ireland and abroad (Department of Health Circular 2/2011). Incremental credit is normally granted on appointment, in respect of previous experience in the Civil Service, Local Authorities, Health Service and other Public Service Bodies and Statutory Agencies. Reporting Relationship Report to and work under supervision and direction of the nominated Supervisor, as appropriate. Purpose of the Post The provision of high quality hygiene services to all patients which includes cleaning, laundry and waste management, in line with the hospital and national infection control guidelines, national cleaning standards and HIQA standards. Support the provision of a high quality, safe and professional customer focussed service. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Service needs will require movement of staff between wards/departments/relief duties as directed. The duties of the Hygiene Attendant will be dependent on the service needs of the care setting. Workshop Technician
Location Dungannon/Omagh. However, due to the nature of work within the College, it is anticipated that travel to other campus sites will be required. Campuses are situated at Enniskillen - Killyhevlin, Dungannon – Main Campus, Omagh – Main Campus, Cookstown - Kilcronnagh or Omagh - Gortin Road sites. Main Duties and Responsibilities To prepare workshop materials for use by lecturers and trainees. To organise tools and materials for trainees in an orderly and tidy manner. To maintain all equipment in a safe and secure environment. To practice good stock control including ordering, receipt, storage and issuing of all tools and materials. To check requisitions against documentation when received and comply with ‘Agresso’ requirements. To assist lecturers during practical classes and maintain a level of supervision and support at all times. To carry out regular routine checks on equipment to ensure any problems are noted and reported to the designated person so appropriate action is taken. Ensure accurate records for equipment checks and maintenance are available at all times, using the correct proformas. To carry out minor repairs to equipment as and when required and when properly trained to do so. To be proactive in Health & Safety issues relating to the section and across the wider College. Assist staff in the development and maintenance of safe working practices and procedures. Adopt a ‘Safety first’ approach to your own work and report any potential risks or hazards immediately. To assist with the distribution of Personal Protective Clothing as and when required and take responsibility for the maintenance of accurate stock records. To co-ordinate lockers, including distribution and return of keys to tutors and students. To participate in staff and personal development as and when required. Ensure all mandatory CPD is kept up to date and within the timelines identified by your Line Manager or the Health and Safety Manager. To undertake or support the supervision of students within the teaching areas as necessary. To drive College vehicles between campuses if required. To undertake any other reasonable duties designated by Head of Department, Deputy Head of Department, Curriculum Manager, Campus Manager, Health and Safety Manager or direct Line Manager.
