Cavan has been in operation for over 50 years. We have an exciting opportunity for General Operatives, who will report to the Production Manager and will work as part of a team within the Plant. These roles will be required to work shift including weekends and night Responsibilities • Operation of plant, which includes responsibility for two (2) dryers drying EMP and MPP. • Evaporation Plants. • MPP Filtration and Evaporation plants. • Milk Separation and Cream Despatch • SMC and Milk Permeate Intake and despatch. • Vegetable oil intake. • Achieve agreed KPIs relating to Health and Safety, hygiene, through put, quality, energy efficiency and losses, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures. • Adherence to general GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and hygiene standards and maintain work area in a clean and tidy condition • Various ad hoc duties as assigned by your manage Requirements • Familiarity with manufacturing process. • Good technical ability to understand plant and processes with previous plant operator experience an advantage. • Ability to learn quickly, to be innovative and show initiative with respect to work processes. • Flexibility and motivation to seek improvements on a continuous basis. • Good communication skills. • Computer literate with an aptitude for understanding and applying technical data and information in line with plant performance and efficiency. • Team-working and cooperation with other operators to ensure efficient operation of plan About us Through our expertise in research and development, customer insights, food safety and state-of-the-art manufacturing we bring innovative food and nutrition solutions to a global market. BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES –WEST REGION POSTS: SOCIAL CARE WORKERS RINDOON SERVICES ATHLONE/ROSCOMMON ADULT SERVICES (Athlone, Kilteevan, Roscommon Town) Ref: 85665 DESCRIPTION AND VISION OF SERVICES The Brothers of Charity Services Ireland – West Region provide a community based, person centred service focusing on the needs and abilities of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The vision of the service is to support people with intellectual disabilities to achieve a full and valued life in their community, in line with best practice both nationally and internationally. Working in partnership with each person supported by services, we aim to create opportunities for people supported by services to have ordinary life experiences and to be closely connected to family and friends. We are committed to supporting people to live a life of their choosing. Rindoon Service Adult Services provide a range of community-based services including day, residential, respite, community outreach, family support and a range of multidisciplinary support services. People are supported in day centres, supported employment, social and micro enterprises, training and education and these can be in groups or individualised. People are supported in residential settings in their own homes in the community individually and in groups. We wish to create opportunities for people who use our services to have valued social roles in their communities and to form friendships. We wish to recruit innovative, creative and motivated people who will relish the opportunity to assist in achieving this vision as part of a team. We are looking for people who will be flexible and adapt to the needs of particular individuals they support and are open to change. Location: Rindoon Adult Services (Athlone, Kilteevan, Roscommon Town Areas). Staff allocation could be either within residential/respite/day settings or in community services. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Rindoon services and this work location may change due to future service needs. The Role: Social Care Workers fulfil a key worker supportive and advocative role for adults supported by the service in all aspects of their lives, focusing on each individual’s ability and promoting independence and development of skills at all times. The Social Care Worker will assist people with the development of person-centred plans and critically, will support people to make informed choices and fulfil their potential. They will encourage participation in the community through inclusive and creative thinking, seek opportunities for new experiences and encourage positive risk taking in leading to informed choices. Reporting/Responsible to: Team Leader/Team Manager Qualifications and Experience: Candidates must hold the following qualifications: Working Hours: Up to 39 hours per week based on a 7 day/night duty roster. Locum staff are called for locum duty when the exigencies of the service so require e.g. to fill absences arising from sick leave, annual leave etc., and to cover any other emergencies that may arise. There are no minimum guaranteed hours associated with the position. All posts are based on a 14-day duty roster. The successful candidates may be required to work to accommodate an integrated day service, with weekend work, some split duty hours, public holidays, evening/night duty and sleep-ins to meet service needs. The Brothers of Charity Services model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures quality and person centred planning system requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each person supported Annual Leave: 22 days per annum (pro-rata for part-time), i.e. 8.46 hours per 100 hours worked. Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration: Department of Health Social Care Worker salary scale as at 01/08/2025 apply: €40,351 X 11 increments - €55,599 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). A long service increment €56,650 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays and night duty when worked. Salary quoted is based on a 39 hour working week.
