The purpose of MEDLIS Project Manager - Grade VII post is to co-ordinate the implementation of MedLIS to St. Luke’s Hospital and to provide a system administrator and management function after the roll out phase. MedLIS is the new national Laboratory Information System (LIS) to manage laboratory tests. It allows healthcare providers to electronically book tests and access test results. MedLIS is being introduced to improve quality of care and patient safety. The implementation project involves both the Laboratory and almost all units of the hospital that are involved in the direct care of patients i.e. it’s multi-faceted.
