We are committed to supporting people to live a life of their choosing. Fáilte Community Services is a Community Outreach Programme providing support to adults with a Mild Intellectual Disability. We support individuals who live independently throughout Galway City and County, to access education, employment, leisure activities, and community‑based day services. The service aims to promote independence by enabling adults to live full, active, and safe lives within their communities. This is achieved through the delivery of therapeutic supports, frontline services, and the promotion of meaningful community engagement. We work in ongoing partnership with people supported by the service, their families, and external agencies to maximise the use of community resources. Fáilte Community Services provides person‑centred and individualised supports that are adaptable and responsive to the evolving needs of the people we support. Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures quality and person centred planning system requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each person supported Annual Leave: 22 days per annum (pro-rata for part-time), i.e. 8.46 hours per 100 hours worked. Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration: Department of Health Social Care Worker salary scale as at 01/02/2026 apply: €40,851 x 11 increments - €56,155 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). A long service increment €57,217 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is payable after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays and night duty when worked. Salary quoted is based on a 39 hour working week. Projector Worker, TSO
The TSO role has been initiated as a customised model of support for tenants of approved housing bodies, typically experiencing Mental Health difficulties, at risk of losing their tenancy. To engage people, conduct an assessment and make appropriate referrals to health and social services inclusive of Tusla where appropriate. The officer will be assigned to Tipperary/Kilkenny and will provide cover to their colleague due to training and leave. It is informed by the National and Local Housing Strategies for People with a Disability, Sharing the Vision (Dept of Health, 2020), Housing for All- A new housing plan for Ireland (Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, 2021) and the HSE’s National Recovery Framework (HSE, 2018). Funding has been sourced from the Carlow/Kilkenny HSE Mental Health Services and the Good Shepherd Centre to employ a part time support worker (19 hours per week) and a healthcare worker/cleaner (15 hours per week) through the Grant Aid process. Secure tenancies with support are recognized as the way forward for many of those with complex needs. The TSO Project now requires two officers x 39hrs per week to support tenants under the programme. The Good Shepherd Centre in conjunction with Mental Health Service Area 5 Kilkenny and in partnership with Carlow County Council/Tipperary and Kilkenny will provide TSO support and a recovery orientated tenancy sustainment programme.

The programme combines theory and practice and champions collaborative and pre-competitive processes. The MA reimagines design as a catalyst for systemic change challenging linear production models and enabling regenerative, life-centered approaches to materials, ecosystems, society, and culture. It supports creative practitioners in interrogating and disrupting current systems and in designing alternatives that are circular by intent. The Assistant Lecturer will be part of a cross disciplinary team of academics responsible for the delivery and ongoing development of NCAD’s Circular by Design programmes. This specific role is focused on delivering and teaching sustainable, circular, and regenerative design principles and practices to enable the rethinking of systems through transformative circular strategies and policies and ecosystem-based approaches. The role will also contribute to related undergraduate and postgraduate awards, and support the integration of sustainable, circular, and regenerative design across NCAD’s wider curriculum. NCAD recognizes the urgent need to build circular innovation capacity across Ireland’s design sector. Its programmes aim to equip the next generation of changemakers with the skills, knowledge, and mindset to rethink the purpose, processes, and outcomes of design. The MA in Circular by Design and its constitutions programmes (Prof Cert and Prof Dip) as well as modules housed within our BA provision contribute directly to this mission. Combining theory and practice, our Circular by Design provision invites participants to engage through seminars, collaborative mapping, speculative design tasks, and peer dialogue. Role This specified purpose contract supports a cross-disciplinary Circular by Design team in the development, coordination, and delivery of NCAD’s part-time MA in Circular by Design and related programmes as well as delivering and supporting our BA provision. The role has a particular focus on design strategies, ecosystems, and policy, and involves delivering and teaching sustainable, circular, and regenerative design principles and practices to learners across the College as required.
