Role Profile Tirlán is offering apprenticeship opportunities to current leaving certificate students and recent school leavers in Belview/Ballyragget. Tirlán has a well-established and highly regarded apprenticeship programme, where apprentices will train for 4 years combining practical industrial experience and Solas/ETB run academic training. During this time, you’ll earn while you learn and receive mentorship from craft professionals at Tirlán. As an apprentice, you will: Responsibilities • Assist senior crafts with their day-to-day duties, equipment breakdowns, and planned works across their assigned plants. • Process equipment includes various types of pumps, valves, fans, centrifugal separators, decanters and packaging systems • Work in a good manufacturing practice (GMP) environment.• Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing.• Under senior craft supervision you will be working with equipment such as milling machines, lathes, drills, welding plants, hand tools and other portable equipment.• Assist with fault finding on the various systems that we operate on site such as pasteurisers, evaporators, drying systems, material transport systems and utility systems as part of a team and as an individual.• Liaise with production staff in job execution.• Provide accurate reporting as necessary, including the use of computer maintenance system. This programme will commence in September 2026. Role Purpose Our OEM Apprentices will be to joining as part of our Maintenance Department to be based in both Plant 1 & Plant 2 in our Naas, Co. Kildare location. This is a 4 year programme made up of 7 phases, 4 onsite and 3 offsite college block locations. An OEM Apprentice is a trainee technician supporting the maintenance team in performing corrective and preventative maintenance to a high standard. Over the course of a four-year program, our OEM Apprentice will prepare and upskill to become a multi-skilled maintenance technician. The Apprentice in Social Work programme has been developed by an industry-led consortium with University College Cork (UCC) as the lead educational institution. The 2 year apprenticeship programme merges higher education with work-based learning by providing the post holder with a unique opportunity to gain practical administrative experience within a Social Work team whilst completing college-based learning towards achieving a Level 9 Social Work qualification. The Apprentice will spend approximately 15 months on-the-job under the supervision and guidance of experienced, professionally qualified Social Workers and 9 months off-the-job completing a total of 3 college-based learning blocks at UCC.
