Service Advisor
Shaw Commercials is recruiting a Service Advisor to join our busy LCV Centre in Castlebar. If you enjoy working with customers, have strong organisational skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. To support this growth, we’re offering a €1,500 joining bonus – a great way to get started with us. Provide excellent customer service end to end from booking to return of vehicle and all the stages in between. Organise workshop schedule for the day and liaise with the workshop controller / manager. Work closely with Parts Advisor regarding parts orders and workflow planning. Organise roster for the month ahead on-line. Review staff clocking’s and approve overtime by technicians. Understand customer’s needs and requirements and maintain strong relationship. Communicate with customers throughout the day. Take bookings for the service department. Advise customers of any additional work to be carried out. Invoice work upon completion and collect payment. Communicate work carried out with the customer and discuss any matters that may require follow up. Work closely with Warranty Coordinator and Planner. Work with the marketing associate with regard to promoting the workshop. Maintain customer records and enter data into computer databases Requirements: Excellent communication skills. Previous experience as a motor service advisor is an advantage. Ideally have a technical understanding/background. Full, clean driving licence. Must be flexible.

JOB SUMMARY: This is a Fleet Management role with responsibility for the day-to-day management, governance and continuous improvement of Portwest’s company car fleet, initially across the UK and Europe. The Fleet Manager will oversee the full vehicle lifecycle and ensure effective processes and controls are in place across mileage, leasing, servicing and maintenance, breakdowns, insurance, accidents and claims, vehicle handovers and returns, fines and driver administration. Working closely with the Indirect Procurement Lead, the Fleet Manager will also support the commercial management of Fleet, including spend visibility, supplier performance, cost control, vendor consolidation and the identification of opportunities to improve value and service. As the Fleet continues to grow, the role will be responsible for developing consistent Fleet processes, reporting and governance across the countries in scope, working closely with internal stakeholders and Fleet suppliers to ensure the Fleet operates efficiently, compliantly and cost-effectively. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Beef Loading Bay, ensuring the safe, efficient and timely movement and loading of beef carcasses and products for dispatch. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of beef carcasses and meat processing, with previous butchery, carcass handling or meat production experience highly desirable.
