Where you will be working Encyclis Dublin Waste to Energy Facility is located in Dublin 4, on the Poolbeg peninsula. This fantastic facility has been fully operational since 2017, diverting over 600,000 tonnes of residual waste from landfill every year and providing enough baseload electricity to power over 100,000 homes. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None Qualifications QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Leaving Certificate, three (3) years power or industrial plant experience in the repair, troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment. Formal technical or apprentice training in two or more fields of electricity, welding, mechanical, millwright, plumbing or machining is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge in the safe and proper use of hand tools, meters, lathes, drill presses, cutting torches, rigging, etc. Formal training in the safe use of fork trucks, MEWP’s, hoists, etc. is preferred. Working knowledge of boilers, steam turbines and material handling equipment would be advantageous. *Trade qualification in a discipline relevant to the field of work. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Excellent English, both written and verbal communication. Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, technical procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, and other procedure manuals. Ability to speak and communicate effectively with supervisors and other employees of the organization. Ability to write and fill out forms. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Welding, electrical, or machinist certifications desirable. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to take appropriate safe action on his/her own initiative to prevent equipment damage or injury to personnel during emergencies or unusual situations. You need to be curious about learning new ways of managing areas of our business that you might not be familiar with, such as our Grooming Studio, and ready to be a hands on leader on the sales floor. This is a full time role and as it's retail we trade weekends so you will be expected to be here at least one weekend day per week. Some (but definitely not all) of the key responsibilities include;
Retail Store Manager
Petmania are currently recruiting for an Experienced Store Manager to lead our Westport Store The Petmania Store Manager is responsible for driving the performance of the store through various key focus areas. If you have actual experience in a grooming studio, either as a groomer or groomers assistant but have made the leap to management we would be particularly interesting in talking to you. This is a full time role and as it's retail we trade weekends so you will be expected to be here at least one weekend day per week. Some (but definitely not all) of the key responsibilities include; While retail management experience is essential in this role, we will happily teach you all you need to know about pet and product side of the business. You will also attend regular meetings with your fellow managers where we will update you as to what is new to the business.
