Business Development Executive
Duties & Responsibilities Leadership and Management • To provide end-to-end project management to ensure the successful implementation and delivery of a range of business projects and skills development programmes. • To ensure that the College meets all of its requirements with regard to compliance for these programmes. • To continually develop and maintain a full understanding of the market, by engagement with employers, sector skills councils and other key organisations and undertaking market research in order to continually identify business development, skills and training opportunities for the College. • To develop and maintain key relationships with strategic partners, employers and organisations. • To plan and co-ordinate employer and other organisational engagement activities in order to maximise income generation activities for the college. • To work with curriculum through integrated planning mechanisms and on-going engagement to increase revenue sources of income for the college across all its full cost, bespoke and project funding led provision. • To provide on-going support to curriculum in the development and project management of its full cost, bespoke and project funding led provision. • To prepare appropriate bids/tenders/funding applications for the College and undertake the project management and administration of these funds. • To develop and continually review accurate costing models and tender templates with necessary supporting documentation for all bids/tenders and funding applications. • To create and maintain relevant systems processes and procedures to manage business development activities. • To achieve KPI’s and income generation targets as agreed with the Centre for Business Development Manager. • To promote and market all College Learning products, programmes, events and activities that the College can provide to employers, organisations and key strategic partners and lead on business development campaigns in order to maximise income generation for the College. • To ensure a high profile for the College in its business development activities and work with the marketing team to devise and deliver promotional and marketing activities across a range of key sectors. • To contribute to the development and on-going maintenance of a CRM system to support business development activities. • To work on a collaborative basis with colleagues across the Department and other sections of Belfast Met as required. The successful candidate must enjoy solving problems in a complex ICT infrastructure and will be proactive with broad technical knowledge and skills. This position will involve working with people whose knowledge about IT ranges from novice to expert. You will be required to provide cover for the ICT Operations Manager during varying pre-notified leave times. Being able to prioritise the problems that arise is essential. The successful candidate must weigh each problem for its severity and complexity and then resolve problems in the order that keeps the greatest number of people productive. The appointee’s ability to work with others, both technical and non-technical personnel, is key to this job. Change is constant, so the appointee will always be learning something new. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Qualifications: The successful candidate must have: • A third level IT or related qualification. • Microsoft Certified Professional certification in current systems is an advantage. • Other accreditations and relevant experience in Information Technology an advantage. Experience: • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role. • Recent experience in a disperse networked environment is essential, ability to setup, configure and maintain WAN communication links over various technologies • Experience with a wide range of hardware including servers, routers, firewalls, personal computers, laptops and printers are essential. • Experience with a wide range of operating systems such as Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025 Windows 10 and Windows 11 is essential. • Required experience managing and maintaining a virtual server environment including shared storage and networking. • Experience in the use of server application software such as Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online, Microsoft SQL 2014/2016, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365 and Citrix DAAS is essential. • Ability to work with external suppliers and manage vendor contracts. • Familiarity with telecommunications equipment such as mobiles and VoIP systems. • Familiarity with SAN technology, security appliances and Microsoft cloud technologies would be an advantage. Other skills: • Ability to work with other technical and non-technical personnel. • An ITIL qualification is desirable but not essential. • Must own their own car and possess a full clean driving licence, these are essential requirements of this post • Creative problem solving and research and analysis skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills. • Organisational and prioritising skills and time management skills. Working Hours: 70 hours a fortnight based on a 5-day working week. However, flexible hours including weekends and evenings may be involved. We also provide services for children and young adults across Cork and Kerry with complex needs- Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an interdisciplinary team. Applications are invited for the following post Senior Speech & Language Therapist Ref: 65/2025 Permanent Full-time (35 hours per week) Location: Children Disability Network Team 1 – North Kerry Based in Listowel, Co. Kerry (Outreach to Castleisland/Tralee) JOB SUMMARY This post also involves working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young adults, 0-18yrs and their families. This will include children with Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an interdisciplinary team. These teams are under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. The successful candidate will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. The local reporting relationship is to the Children’s Disability Network Manager. Speech & Language Therapists report professionally on issues of professional practice, CPD and clinical supervision to the Head of Discipline through the professional line management structure. The Therapist will work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the person supported group and the objectives of the organisation. The Senior Speech & Language Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a high-quality Speech & Language Therapy service and will carry out clinical and educational duties as required. Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided in the context of an interdisciplinary team. The CDNT aims to maximise the child/ young adult’s full potential and works within the context of the family and community, empowering and supporting parents/care givers and family members . The Network 1 North Kerry team is based in Listowel with an outreach service to Tralee to provide input to families from the Castleisland/Farranfore area The Candidate: Statutory Registration, Professional Qualification, Experience etc. Each candidate for the appointment must possess the following: Be registered, or be eligible for registration, on the Speech and Language Therapy Register maintained by the Speech and Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU. Experience of carrying out assessments and interventions with children & young adult’s 0-18 with complex needs, within the scope of the SLT role and interdisciplinary team working is desirable. This could include specific assessments such as, autism diagnostic assessments. Experience working with a range of Augmentative and Alternative Communication systems. Experience working with complex Feeding, Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Dysphagia profiles. Experience of developing and coordinating individual family service plans (IFSPs) or equivalent in line with relevant policies and procedures would be beneficial. Demonstrate a command of the English language so as to effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role Candidates must possess the requisite clinical and administrative capabilities to fulfil the functions of the role. 2.
