The Role The duties of the Conservation Cleaner (General Operative Band 3 (Rural)) are wide and varied. The primary function of the job holder will be to carry out duties relating to conservation cleaning duties for all areas within Castletown House and its ancillary buildings. Purpose of the Post The provision of high-quality porter service to all patients and service users in line with hospital service needs, national standards, national and local policies, procedures and guidelines and cleaning standards. Purpose of the Post The person appointed will carry out electrical service, maintenance and repair work as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising engineers, technicians, general operatives, support and specialist contractors to deliver a prompt, efficient cost effective customer focused service in a team environment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Professional The Electrician will: · Work under the direction and control of Mayo Community Living Maintenance Manager/Foreman · Operate and maintain the electrical and mechanical services of all buildings within Mayo Community Living Services and/or other HSE premises within Mayo Community Services area as may be required from time to time in accordance with service needs and National and European regulations and best practice. · Carry out minor electrical installation work as directed. · Participate in the upkeep and maintenance of interior and exterior lighting systems. · Update and record regularly, all alterations and additions to the existing electrical systems. · Complete Portable Appliance Testing following repair, and as required · Complete weekly equipment checks/surveys/tests as directed by your Line Manager · Support contractors with connections & isolations, as directed by your Line Manager. · Work with outside contractors and service companies as required, and engage actively in gaining the knowledge that will be necessary for the future maintenance of new equipment and plant that come under the remit of Mayo Community Living Services Departments. · Co-operate with new technology – Actively use electronic Maintenance Management Systems and other computerised systems.
