Division: Marketing, Communications and Business Development Contract Type: Specified Purpose Contract, full-time *The specific purpose is to cover a temporary leave of absence. Job Purpose: Fáilte Ireland seeks an experienced interim executive to lead the Marketing, Communications and Business Development Directorate ensuring the continued delivery of corporate priorities, marketing effectiveness, stakeholder engagement and business development outcomes. Reporting to the CEO, the Interim Director will provide strong leadership across the directorate while helping embed a newly restructured operating model. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, guide strategic decision-making and maximise the impact of marketing, communications and commercial activity. Primary Objectives/Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership *Please note that there will be a requirement to work from the Dublin office two days per week. Salary scale: € 165,096 - €199,124. * This role will be filled in line with Public Pay Policy at Point 1 of the relevant Salary Scale unless the successful candidate is appointed from an existing public sector role. Blended Working We do not ask for addresses as part of the application process, however it is the responsibility of the candidate to acknowledge the base location of the role. The successful candidate must regularly work from and attend the base office location of the role. Please note: Remote working from outside the State is not permitted other than in exceptional circumstances. As this role is within the Irish public service, the post-holder must carry out a minimum of 80% of their working time within the State (Republic of Ireland). Candidates who reside in Northern Ireland must be able to meet this requirement. Selection Process Shortlisting will be based on applications and the selection process may involve two competency based interviews. A panel of successful candidates may be formed following the selection process. Interview Attendance Requirement Candidates must be available to attend an in-person interview at the location and date specified by Fáilte Ireland. Please note that the location of the interview may vary from the base location of the role.

AREA DIRECTOR LONGFORD/MEATH/WESTMEATH SERVICES - Office is based in Mullingar Co. Westmeath. Permanent Full Time We are offering this opportunity to an experienced manager to drive forward the vision, mission and values of the Muiríosa Foundation for those we support. They will have a key role in supporting individuals to be active citizens in their local community and promoting self-determination and self-direction for every person supported while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the designated centres and day services within their remit. The Area Director will ensure that the experience of the people we support is optimally aligned with and driven by the vision of the Muiríosa Foundation. The successful candidate will be expected to: - Display determination and resilience in their approach to working with people we support to achieve a good life. - Possess and display a strong leadership and management presence to the large team of support staff and managers within their area. - Plan and develop community based localised services within allocated budgets. - Plan and maintain strong oversight of staffing requirements and recruitment into services within allocated budgets. - An ability to maintain up to date and accurate records and reports, including reports to the Senior Leadership Team and those required under the Health Act 2007. - Ensure a high standard of care and support is provided to each person supported at all times. The Area Director will be flexible and capable of managing competing priorities within their workload and will have a robust knowledge and understanding of New Directions, HIQA standards and statutory requirements. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate with the people we support, their families, other professionals and people important in the person’s life. They will be able to demonstrate an ability to adapt their interpersonal skills within the context of the situation The Area Director will be expected to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player. The position requires excellent managerial, leadership, problem solving skills and an ability to strongly advocate for the people we support both Regionally and Organisationally. Requirements for the role: · Must have a strong knowledge of National Disability Policy, HIQA Regulations and New Directions · Have Qualification appropriate to the role e.g. Social Care, Nursing, other relevant qualification · 3 years’ managerial experience · Hold a recognised management qualification. . A valid Full Licence to drive a manual vehicle in Ireland . Take on the role of Person Participation in Management as per the Health Act 2007. · Willingness to take on the role of Person in Charge if required · Be willing to take part on the Out of Hours roster · Have excellent communication skills Candidates should note that as part of this role they will be required to travel between locations. Wood Manufacturing and Finishing Apprentice
Woodfit are looking for an apprentice in Wood Manufacturing and finishing to join our team. We are looking for a motivated, hard-working Apprentices to join our busy workshop and learn the craft from experienced professionals. Successful apprentice applicants will be registered with Solas and begin a 7 phase apprenticeship where they will work alongside highly experienced qualified carpenters during their on-the-job phases. On completion of a four year apprenticeship, you will become a fully qualified with a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft. Hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:30am -5:30pm and Friday 7am - 1.30pm.
