Heavy Vehicle Mechanics Apprentice
We currently have apprentices and we are looking for more to expand our team, a vacancy has become available for a 1st Year Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the service and diagnostic team The successful candidate will complete their Heavy vehicle Mechanics apprenticeship in conjunction with SOLAS which involves both on and off the job training. On successful completion of this heavy vehicle Mechanics apprenticeship, the apprentice is awarded a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in the Craft of heavy vehicle Mechanics. Requirements: · Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative. · Excellent Time Keeping Skills · Excellent communication and customer service skills. · A very positive attitude and a genuine desire to fulfil a career as a heavy vehicle mechanic. · Self-motivation and hard driven . Sales Representative Apprentice
First Year Apprentice Vacancy Sales Representative Apprenticeship opportunity with Kreative Salon Supplies. This role will invole calling to existing and eventually new hair salons. You will learn how to build lasting relationships with customers through assisting them with business advise, and introducing them to new products. You will undertake the Sales Apprenticeship over 2 years, covering all aspects of selling and sales. Your training will be a combination of on-the-job training with Kreative Salon Supplies, and off-the-job learning via online classes and face to face workshops with the Education and Training Board. You will attend product training courses in our academy, and online training with our manufacturers. You will also spend a small amount of time helping in our shop and warehouse while training. You will be released from the workplace to participate in the online classes and face-to-face workshops. You will be assigned a dedicated workplace mentor who will be there to support you throughout the programme offering guidance and making sure that all aspects of your learning follows the structured training plan. This is an “earn and learn” programme and upon successful completion you will qualify as a Sales Specialist and gain a QQI validated NFQ Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Sales. Holders of this award will be eligible to progress within the organisation and/or to higher education programmes. Entry Requirements to the Apprenticeship Programme • Aged 18 or over with a keen interest in business, sales and haircare. * Full clean driving license. • Must have Grade O6/H7 or above in 5 Leaving Certificate subjects (including Maths F2/06/H7 along with English or Irish 06/H7) • If you do not have a Leaving Certificate you must have a full QQI Level 5 or higher qualification. • International applicants must present the equivalent of a full Level 5 qualification or higher • Mature applicants aged 21 years and over without a Level 5 qualification but has relevant experience will also be considered following an interview and submission of supporting documentation

Prior PLM Medical is now entering an ambitious growth phase and is recruiting ambitious, high calibre personnel to join our teams focused on exciting customer projects. 1.0 Reporting and Location: 1.1 The First Year Apprentice Toolmaker will report to the Department Manager and Section Leader based in the Carrick-on-Shannon site. 2.0 Job Description and Responsibilities: 2.1 To learn the application of a broad range of activities including the interpretation of Engineering drawings and technical instructions and the use of hand, machine, and automated computer-controlled machine tools and measuring equipment. 2.2 To comply with applicable legislation and organizational safety requirements and be expected to work both individually and as part of a manufacturing team, working with minimum supervision, and taking responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the work, you undertake. 2.3 You will be expected to test and adjust the systems that have been built or maintained ensuring tooling, jigs, fixtures, and assemblies meet the required specification. This requires the application of a broad range of skills, knowledge, and occupational behaviours across various engineering disciplines. 3.0 Role Requirements. 3.1 Work with 2D and 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing software such as CAD or CAM. 3.2 Follow the engineering drawings to mark out the design for the tool on the stock or casting. 3.3 Use a combination of lathes, presses, grinders, and cutting machines (often controlled by a computer) to cut and shape the part. 3.4 Use precision measuring instruments like micrometres, gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to check the tool's dimensions. 3.5 Some basic machine maintenance. 3.6 Tooling strip down and diagnosis for repair. 3.7 Complete tool reports and ordering of spare parts. 3.8 Comply with the quality and environment standards procedures and instructions. 3.9 Willingness to learn and see the need to drive your continuous professional development. 3.10 Learn the importance of working within the 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) methodology to maintain the workplace to a high standard. 3.11 Undertake continuous training and development through Solas / approved college, apply yourself diligently to learning all aspects of your apprenticeship, and complete all phases of training and assessment as required by Solas. 4.0 Qualification, Experience, and Training: 4.1 Minimum age 16 years old. 4.2 Grade D in five subjects in the Department of Education & Skills Junior Cert examination, OR, the successful completion of an approved Pre-apprenticeship course, OR, 3 years work experience gained over 16 years of age in a relevant designated industrial activity as Solas shall be deemed acceptable. 5.0 Additional desirable Requirements 5.1 Good communication and interpersonal skills.
