Swimming Coordinator
JOB PURPOSE Committing to the one-team ethos, you will be flexible and collaborative and you will actively support all colleagues and other activities necessary to deliver the service objectives. As the Swimming Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of the Learn to Swim and Lifesaving Programmes within the Centre. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage, develop, deliver, evaluate and oversee the Learn to Swim Programme, including use of the course management software • Manage Swimming Teachers and Coaches within the Learn to Swim Programme and evaluate performance • Ensure that standards of teaching and coaching are consistent from teacher to teacher and adhere to the agreed framework and follow best industry practice • Build relationships with schools and clubs to promote the benefits of the Centre’s Programme • Prepare lesson plans and schemes of work that meet the requirements of the Learn to Swim Programme • Deal with customer queries, complaints, comments and suggestions in a timely manner • Develop, plan and deliver all aspects of Lifeguard training, to include monitoring of performance and updating of records • Manage and implement the requirements of the RLSS and Trainer Assessor System • Assist with the establishment of risk assessments and normal operating/emergency procedures within the Aquatics areas • Continually update knowledge, abilities, qualifications and CPD so that teaching content and techniques are kept updated for the benefit of the customers of the Centre • Actively promote the Learn to Swim Programme to ensure its continued success and growth • Promote and/or sell all products and activities within the Centre and within the Leisure Services portfolio • Be flexible and collaborative and actively support all colleagues and other activities or processes which impact on the performance of the Centre QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING • 3rd level qualification (i.e. HNC/HND, Level 4, Degree) in line with the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) in a relevant discipline/subject (please note relevancy should be clearly demonstrated) EXPERIENCE • Two years’ experience of teaching swimming • Experience of planning swimming programmes • Experience of record-keeping Applicants who do not meet the essential qualification or who are currently undertaking the qualification outlined above must demonstrate five years relevant experience as above. KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES • Ability to respond quickly and deal with difficult situations • Ability to manage and work as part of a team • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • IT literate • Excellent planning and organisational skills • Ability to work within established procedures and guidelines • Understanding of pool health & safety WORKING ARRANGEMENTS / FLEXIBILITY 37 hours per week, see rota below. Driver - Rigid
We are currently recruiting for the position of Rigid Driver on a permanent full-time and part time basis. This role will be based out of Value Centre Ennis to work for one of our preferred partners, Newman Logistics. The driver will be responsible for delivering products to our customers in the designated routes. A core requirement of the role will be strong interpersonal skills and the appetite to deliver a quality service, on time to our customers. Acting as a key point of contact with our customers, the driver will be required to have strong interpersonal skills and the initiative to report customer service issues to the business in order to assist with improving the service we provide to our customers. C&D Foods’ Headquarters is in Mullingar, county Westmeath. At our C&D Foods site in Edgeworthstown we are currently inviting applications for the role of Environmental & Sustainability Officer to support our operations onsite. Job description Management of environmental compliance, waste management, Carbon Footprint and Energy management, and the overall driving of Sustainability of the Business. Responsibilities · Ensure full compliance with EPA license and environmental legislation. · Day to day monitoring of the wastewater treatment plant on site. · Identify and implement projects to reduce the carbon footprint, water and energy use through both capital expenditure and continuous improvement. · Collaboration with the engineering department on the day to day running of the business’s facilities in relation to both operation and sustainability. · Collaboration with the production department on the day to day running of the business regarding both operation and sustainability. · Collaboration with group sustainability both in C&D and the wider ABP Group in relation to sustainability · Daily monitoring of all parameters outlined in the sites EPA license for environmental emissions. · Ensuring all sampling programmes for discharges are carried out. · Interpreting energy and water related data for the site and using this data to identify trends. · Upkeep of all environmental, waste and energy related documentation. · Organising of any required infrastructural improvement works relating to environmental equipment with relevant contractors. · Primary point of contact for environmental regulatory bodies such as the EPA, should they contact the site for any reason such as a Site Audit. · Managing of noise and pollution control. · Presenting of sites overall Sustainability performance to head management. · Upkeep of the sites ISO14001 & ISO50001 standards. Qualifications · Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or related discipline. · Minimum 2 years’ experience in an environmental or sustainability role within manufacturing or industrial operations. · Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and compliance requirements. · Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards. · Experience in WWTP operations preferred.
