THE POSITION Wicklow County Council is seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates with relevant experience for the position of Recycling Facilities Manager . Reporting to a General Services Supervisor or alternative Professional/Technical Staff, the Recycling Facilities Manager will work in the Recycling Facility, Avoca, Co. Wicklow, assisting with the maintenance and management of the facility. The position is full-time, pensionable, and permanent. It is proposed to form a panel of qualified candidates from which vacancies will be filled during the lifetime of the panel. QUALIFICATIONS1. Character Candidates shall be of good character. 2. Health Candidates shall be in a state of health that indicates a reasonable prospect of providing regular and efficient service. 3. Education, Experience, etc. The ideal candidate shall: Work Permit All non-EU/EEA citizens must hold a valid work permit before commencing employment and throughout the duration of the contract. The permit must allow full-time employment with Wicklow County Council. Employees are responsible for ensuring their work permit remains valid. Failure to maintain a valid permit will result in immediate termination of employment. Health Successful candidates will be required, before appointment, to undergo a medical examination by a medical practitioner nominated by the Local Authority. Candidates will initially pay the cost of the medical examination, which will be refunded upon taking up the appointment.
