About the Role Kilkenny Design, who operate a domestic and international eCommerce websites, have an exciting opportunity for an experienced eCommerce Executive to join a fast-paced company. This is a hands-on role with plenty of scope to make your mark on a portfolio of high traffic ecommerce websites. We are seeking a commercially-driven, numerate, and highly motivated Senior E-commerce Executive to elevate trading and merchandising performance of our retail websites. This is a pivotal role within our digital team, responsible for launching products, building pages, delivering a best-in-class online shopping experience, maximizing trading performance, and ensuring the websites consistently meet and exceed KPIs. You’ll be a driving force behind the commercial performance of our e-commerce business, constantly optimizing the customer journey, improving conversion, and delivering a compelling and profitable product experience across all categories. Key Responsibilities E-commerce Trading & Merchandising · Own the daily, weekly, and seasonal e-commerce trading performance and all related KPIs. · Actively manage websites merchandising, including the execution of commercial strategies to drive sales and margin. · Launch of all new products to the websites, including the commercial optimization of product presentation, pricing, positioning, and categorization. · Monitor and optimize the performance of the websites search bar, on-site widgets, and merchandising. · Take full accountability for websites stock availability, including managing bestsellers, improving slow sellers, removing underperforming products, and forecasting demand. · Own and optimize pricing and margin strategies in alignment with business objectives. · Ensure all promotional and sale activity is launched on time and in a commercially impactful way. · Build and optimize landing pages, sourcing visuals and tiles in collaboration with the marketing team. Website & Digital Experience · Conduct regular website walks to identify commercial and experiential opportunities for optimization. · Take full ownership for identifying key features and improvements required for the websites to be a superior CX in the market. · Build robust business cases for new website features based on performance data, customer needs, and market benchmarks. · Collaborate closely with IT and digital development partners to deliver new features end-to-end, from ideation through to launch including testing and sign-off. · Focus all development efforts on driving improvements in user experience (UX), user interface (UI), and conversion rate. Analytics & Reporting · Lead daily, weekly, and quarterly reporting on e-commerce performance with clear, actionable insights. · Continuously monitor web analytics and KPIs to proactively drive trading decisions. · Take ownership of actions in response to performance trends, demonstrating a “trader mindset.” Analytics & Reporting · Work closely with internal and external marketing teams to ensure marketing traffic aligns with trading strategy. · Partner with buying administration and supply chain teams to ensure stock levels meet demand, especially ahead of peak trade periods. · Collaborate with creative and content teams to deliver effective on-site storytelling and visual merchandising. · Collaborate with the Customer Service and the CX team to stay close and hear the voice of the customer. Market Awareness · Monitor competitor websites, pricing, and digital strategies to benchmark and inform internal trading tactics. · Make recommendations on category performance and product gaps based on market trends and performance data. About You · 3–5 years of hands-on e-commerce trading experience within a fast-paced omnichannel retail environment. · Deep understanding of online merchandising, trading levers, and commercial KPI management. · Strong experience owning the end-to-end launch and optimization of new products online. · Highly numerate, analytical, and data-driven with strong proficiency in web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, GA4, excel, merchandising technology, AI or similar). · A self-starter who takes ownership and thrives on accountability. · Strong commercial instinct, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into action quickly. · Exceptional attention to detail and a relentless focus on trading the websites to perform. · Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, buying, and supply chain teams. · Proficient in CMS, merchandising tools, and e-commerce platforms. · Positive, collaborative, and adaptable – fits well within a high-effort, high-support culture. · Friendly, open, hardworking, and honest – someone who brings positive energy to the team.
