Accounting Specialist

Employees of Agora Publishing Ireland service a large domestic and international client base. We currently have an exciting job opportunity for an Accounting Specialist on a Fixed Term Contract. This is a hybrid working role with the office days based in Woodlock House, Portlaw, Co. Waterford. This is Fixed Term Contract role of 1 year duration, with flexibility on hours therefore both full-time and part-time applicants would be considered. Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to: • Good knowledge of full cycle accounting – General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, & Sales Reconciliation; • Play a key role in the monthly preparation of the management accounts; • Work as part of a cohesive team of finance professionals and support the achievement of the team's goals while managing individual responsibilities; • Assist with all year end duties including closing of accounts and preparation of audit with the wider finance teams. • Preparation and submission of journals to accounting system; • Month end close activities, including General Ledger reconciliation • Prepare sales reconciliations for various entities and post relevant journals to accounting system; • Assist with duties in relation to tax compliance & vat returns; • Other office admin duties as required. Fexco Managed Services are currently recruiting a Programme Executive – Warmer Homes Scheme to join their SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) team on a 24-month fixed term contract. The position is offered on a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 2 days onsite at one of SEAI's offices (Dublin, Cork, Sligo or Dundalk) and 3 days remote per week. Role Profile The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) has been designated as the National Retrofit Delivery Body, responsible for achieving Ireland’s target of upgrading 500,000 homes to a B2 energy rating by 2030, as outlined in the Programme for Government and the National Climate Action Plan 2021. We have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Executive in the Warmer Homes Operations Team in the Delivery Department. The Warmer Homes Scheme is targeted towards homeowners who are most in need, offering a fully funded home retrofit to those receiving certain welfare payments. In 2026, the Scheme will deliver upgrades to around 11,500 homes, with Scheme output increasing year-on-year. Key Responsibilities, Knowledge and Skills Responsibilities: They will include, but not limited to, the following: · Coordinate and allocate customer surveys to ensure timely project progression. · Raise and manage purchase orders in line with company procurement processes. · Create and issue works orders to installation and operational teams. · Request, track, and maintain accurate records of ESBN order numbers. · Process customer invoicing and support scheduled payment runs. · Maintain accurate administrative records and ensure data integrity across project systems. · Other duties as assigned by the Warmer Homes Engineer or Programme Manager. Key Knowledge and Skills The ideal candidate should possess: · Strong ability to foster positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, working effectively in multi-disciplinary teams. · Excellent organisational skills and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail. · Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise competing deadlines effectively. · Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills. · Strong numerical aptitude and confidence handling invoices and financial information. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Strong time management and workload planning capabilities. · Competency in Microsoft Office and business systems. · Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team. · High level of accuracy when processing orders, invoices, and project documentation. · Customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a high standard of service. · sound judgement. · A keen interest in management, climate action, home retrofitting, and renewable energy installation to support Ireland’s climate goals. · Other duties as assigned by the Warmer Homes Engineer or Programme Manager.
