Role Purpose The Talent Acquisition Officer will provide operational and administrative support to the Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning Team, assisting with the delivery of recruitment campaigns. The role will involve supporting key recruitment activities, maintaining accurate records, coordinating onboarding activities and contributing to the efficient and compliant operation of the Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning Team. About the Team The Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning team is part of the People and Organisational Development Team in Coimisiún na Mean. The team supports the organisation in attracting, recruiting, and retaining talented individuals, while providing insight and planning to ensure the workforce meets current and future needs. The team works closely with hiring managers and external partners to deliver efficient, fair, and transparent recruitment processes, promoting equality, diversity, inclusion, and the development of a skilled and engaged workforce. Key Responsibilities • Support the delivery of recruitment campaigns by coordinating key activities such as advertising, shortlisting logistics, and communications with hiring teams. • Provide administrative and logistical support for onboarding activities, including coordination of welcome materials, system access for new starters and support with Integration (induction) Days. • Maintain and update recruitment and onboarding data on various spreadsheets. • Liaise with external advertising platforms and recruitment partners to place job advertisements and monitor responses. Key Responsibilities (continued) • Contribute to process improvements by identifying opportunities to streamline administrative steps and enhance candidate experience. • Assist in ensuring compliance with recruitment policies, procedures, and relevant legislation throughout the recruitment process. • Work with colleagues across the organisation to understand workforce needs and provide practical recruitment support and advice, escalating complex issues as appropriate. • Ensure records and documentation are accurately maintained in line with data protection requirements and audit standards. • Support the implementation of projects or initiatives (e.g. new recruitment processes, system enhancements, policy rollouts) under the direction of HEOs or Head of Talent Acquisition. • Monitor and flag emerging issues or delays in recruitment campaigns, helping to ensure timelines are met. • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and guidance materials to support consistent recruitment practices. • Participate in cross-team initiatives to support the wider People and OD team. • Provide guidance and support to Clerical Officer ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. • Contribute to reporting and analysis, including preparation of statistics or dashboards on recruitment activity for internal reporting. Project Officer (Quality Assurance)
The National Apprenticeship Office wishes to recruit a Project Officer to the area of Quality Assurance. The person in this role will assist in developing and implementing models of QA for craft apprenticeships, monitoring internal and external compliance with SOLAS requirements, managing cases of suspected malpractice, creating standard operating procedures and maintaining strong controls around QA documentation. The person in this role will also support implementation of the Action Plan for Apprenticeship 2021–2025, in particular key deliverables 1 and 2 to: build a strong framework of QA, and to drive an evidence-based approach to continuous improvement. An estimated 40,000 people are currently involved or supporting in national apprenticeships. This community is growing month on month. With a target of 10,000 apprentice registrations annually by 2025 it is expected that the community will grow by at least a third, up to 60,000. The Project Officer will be a key member of the NAO team. Job Description The Project Officer will: ➢ Work as part of a team to deliver quality assurance activities, including external authentication as per SOLAS’ craft apprenticeship Quality Assurance procedures. ➢ Draft, develop and maintain a range of controlled documents for craft apprenticeships. ➢ Lead on engagement with stakeholder group/s in the review and development of quality assurance, external authentication and related monitoring activities. ➢ Coordinate the function of Programme Boards for Craft Apprenticeships. ➢ Lead on the assessment feedback process, in conjunction with collaborating providers and the relevant Programme Boards. ➢ Conduct ongoing review/s of external authentication of apprenticeship programmes and monitoring apprenticeship activities in accordance with SOLAS specifications and guidelines. ➢ Plan and execute internal audits and controls to ensure apprenticeship compliance with internal policies and procedures and external regulations. ➢ Prepare and present a range of report findings as required from all quality assurance activities. ➢ Supervise team members, assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure goals are met. ➢ Lead and facilitate meetings with internal colleagues to progress actions, resolve issues and agree timelines for completion. ➢ Carry out any other duties deemed appropriate for the position by the NAO line manager. ➢ Undertake professional and personal development. New entrants to the Civil or Public Sector, as defined in Circular 18/2010, will commence on the first point of the salary scale. Different pay and conditions may apply if, immediately prior to appointment, the appointee is a serving civil or public servant. Annual Leave: Annual leave will be 29 working days. This leave is exclusive of public holidays. Hours of Attendance: Working hours are in accordance with the standard arrangements for government agencies including SOLAS and the HEA and will equate to no less than 35 hours (net of rest breaks) per week. No additional payment will be made for extra attendance as the rate of remuneration payable covers any exceptional extra attendance liability that may arise from time to time. Location: Office premises for the National Apprenticeship Office are in SOLAS headquarters, Castleforbes House, Dublin 1. The location of the office premises may change; however, they will continue to be in Dublin. A Blended Working policy is in place and an arrangement is available for request with this role, with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office. One of the days must be a Tuesday. Please note that as a public sector employee, you must work in the Irish jurisdiction to avail of blended working, and in accordance with Department Public Expenditure and Reform (DPER) requirements, you must be available to attend in person if and when required. SOLAS headquarters is currently based in Castleforbes House, Dublin 1. Tenure: This is a permanent post in the National Apprenticeship Office, employed by SOLAS. Probation: A probation period of 9 months applies to this role. Administrative Officer
The Ireland-United States Commission for Educational Exchange (www.fulbright.ie) is seeking to appoint a fulltime (5 days per week) Administration Officer for a 6-month contract period from February 2026. Background The Ireland-United States Commission for Educational Exchange is a bilateral partnership supported by the U.S. Department of State and the Irish Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, as well as the Department of Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht, Its funding is derived from Irish and U.S. governments, higher education institutions, public agencies, organizations, and donations. The Commission annually awards grants for Irish citizens to study, research, or teach in the U.S. andfor Americans to do the same in Ireland. The primary grant program that the Commission manages is the Fulbright Program, whose purpose, since 1946, is to increase mutual respect and understanding between people of the United States and people of other countries through educational and cultural exchange. The Position Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the successful candidate must: • Have a minimum of four years’ experience in an AO or equivalent role • Have excellent communication (written and spoken), administration, and interpersonal skills • Have excellent IT skills with strong Microsoft Office skills • Have some bookkeeping / finance experience • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment, collaborating in a small team, and effectively responding to tasks and requests • Empathise with Fulbright’s purpose • Be legally eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland The following are desirable: • In-depth experience with CRM systems • Experience of office management • Knowledge of the Irish and U.S. higher education systems Principal Duties and Responsibilities The following duties and responsibilities are indicative, but not exhaustive. Administration: • Assist with administrative duties of the Executive Director • Manage supplier payments for approval by the Executive Director • Assist with sponsor credit control with the Executive Director • Administer office requirements • Provide administrative support for award programs as needed • Provide administrative support for orientation and cultural programs / events for awardees as needed • Provide support for awards and communications programs at peak activity times • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director Board Meetings / Events: • Provision of administrative support for Commission Board meetings and events (e.g. Board papers, catering arrangements). General Administration: • Assisting with file and diary management, office administration, telephone reception, etc. • Monitoring and ordering office supplies Remuneration and Benefits Contract Tenure: A six-month contract with effect from February 2026 is being offered initially. A one-month probation period will apply. Contract may be renewed after initial 6-month period. Salary: Commensurate with experience Pension: The Commission operates a contributory pension scheme.
