By participating, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to positively influence the lives of many older people in Ireland.As the Services Manager, you will lead, build, motivate, and support a multifunctional team providing the full range of ALONE’s support services (including the recruitment of volunteers) in the area you support.Responsibilities<ul><li>Lead and deliver ALONE’s core services, including Support Coordination, Befriending (Visitation &amp; Telephone), Volunteer Engagement, and Technology Support for older people.</li><li>Drive strong, strategic partnerships with local Statutory, Community, and Voluntary organisations to maximise impact.</li><li>Champion ALONE’s mission locally, promoting services, building referral pathways, and expanding community capacity to support older people.</li><li>Ensure excellence in service delivery, meeting all HSE agreement objectives and delivering accurate, timely reporting.</li><li>Identify and address service gaps, collaborating across sectors to design and implement effective, person-centred solutions.</li><li>Provide impactful reports to funders, stakeholders, and leadership—using data to tell the story and shape the future.</li><li>Inspire high-performing teams through effective people management, continuous development, and a strong culture of improvement.</li><li>Deliver on ALONE’s strategic goals, aligning your team’s work to achieve ambitious targets and lasting change.</li><li>Additional duties as assigned</li></ul>Essential skills &amp; experience<ul><li>Self-motivated person who is committed to ALONE’s mission</li><li>Educated to Degree Level or significant relevant experience.</li><li>Minimum 3 years proven experience in service operations.</li><li>Able to maintain the highest standards of confidentiality, discretion, and respect.</li><li>Minimum of 2-year staff management experience, including support and performance management of teams</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders both internally &amp; externally</li><li>A collaborative team player who fosters strong internal and external relationships.</li><li>Proactive problem-solver, using innovation to improve service delivery and support independent older person and the people we serve.</li><li>Strong time management and organisational skills to prioritise workload and meet KPIs.</li></ul>Extra Benefits<ul><li>Salary DOE</li><li>35 Hour week (core hours 9-5) –Full-time employees can enjoy a 35-hour working week.</li><li>Annual Salary Reviews</li><li>Time Off in Lieu</li><li>Mileage Policy in place for applicable roles</li><li>Death in Service - after 6 months’ probation successfully completed.</li><li>Travel Saver Schemes</li><li>Sick Pay Scheme -after 6 months’ probation successfully completed.</li><li>Bike to Work Scheme</li><li>HSF Partnership</li><li>Horizontal Transfer Opportunities</li><li>Comprehensive Training &amp; Development</li><li>Bespoke Induction Programmes</li><li>Progression Opportunities</li><li>Further Education Opportunities</li><li>Employee Assistance Programme -ALONE provides a 24hour support programme for all our Employee’s.</li></ul>
