Verification Officer
SGS Ireland is seeking to recruit a Part-Time Verification Officer for Clarehall NDLS on a Fixed Term Specific Purpose Contract. This role would require the successful candidate to be responsible for processing driving licence applications, including customer registration/verification within a defined timeframe ensuring the highest standards of customer service are achieved. The network of NDLS Centres is responsible for processing driver licence applications in 34 NDLS Centres across Ireland on behalf of our Client the Road Safety Authority. Daycare at Home Worker
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers. Our vision is an Ireland where people on the journey of dementia are valued and supported. A national non-profit organisation, The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is person centred, rights-based and grassroots led with the voice of the person with dementia and their carer at its core. The ASI is currently recruiting a Care Worker who will work in our assigned family homes in Ballynanty, Farranshone, Moyross, Thomandgate, Caherdavin, North Circular Road areas and the surrounding area. This is a permanent contract of employment working 15 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing person-centred care to people with dementia in the client’s own home. You will need good communication and organizational skills and be able to work on your own initiative. To be successful in this position it is essential you possess previous experience of undertaking social and cognitive stimulation activities with people with dementia, older people or people with intellectual disabilities. Candidates in this area must have a full clean driving license and access to a car to be considered for this role. A FETAC level 5 is desirable. Confidence in using IT/Email is also desirable. We are offering a competitive salary commensurate with the care sector, and dependent on relevant experience. The role holder must strictly adhere to all National Guidelines laid out in QPSD guidance and be always COVID aware. Training in PPE / Infection Control and other relevant areas will be provided by The ASI prior to the role holder entering a client’s home. School Warden
THE COMPETITION Clare County Council is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for the above competition. Clare County Council will, following the interview process, form a panel for the post of School Warden – Part Time in Kilrush/Ennis and Sporadic Cover in Shannon from which future relevant vacancies may be filled subject to sanction approval from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. Positions will be offered in order of merit as per the panel. This panel will exist for 12 months and may be extended for a further period of 6–12 months at the discretion of the Chief Executive. DUTIES The duties to be assigned include the following, although this list is not exhaustive and may be reviewed from time to time as organisational needs require. The duty of a part-time/sporadic cover School Warden is to safeguard children on their way to and from school when crossing busy thoroughfares. Wardens must attend at the crossing to which they are detailed regularly and punctually. In the event of being unable to attend through sickness or any other cause, it is essential that the Line Manager be informed of the fact. On appointment, the warden will be equipped with the following articles of equipment: Failure to input and upload proof of essential educational qualifications in your application form will deem you ineligible for this competition. Non-Irish Qualifications must be accompanied by a determination from Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) to establish their comparability against the Irish National Framework of Qualifications. Overseas qualifications must also be accompanied by a translation document. Age Each candidate must be under 70 years of age on the latest date for receipt of completed Application Forms for the office if they are deemed not to be new entrants to the Public Service as defined by the Public Service Superannuation (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2004. Where the appointee has been serving elsewhere in the public service in an analogous grade and pay scale and will be moving without break to another part of the public sector at an analogous grade, the appointment may be made at the appointee’s current point of scale. The rate of remuneration may be adjusted from time to time in line with Government pay policy. Starting pay for new entrants to the sector will be at the minimum of the scale. The current salary scale applicable to the post is €20.13 per hour (March 2025). Annual Leave The annual leave applicable to this post will be 8% of the hours worked in any one year. Clare County Council’s holiday year runs from 1st January to 31st December. Granting of annual leave, payment for annual leave, and arrangements for public holidays will be governed by the provisions of the Organisation of Working Time Act, 1977 (as amended). Working Hours When there is a requirement to provide sporadic cover for absences of existing School Wardens, this can be at irregular intervals and often at short notice. Normally, Wardens are employed for five days (Monday to Friday) each week. School Wardens will not be employed during school holidays or Bank Holidays. The hours will not exceed 4 hours per day. Exact hours of work will be determined by Clare County Council prior to commencement of employment.
