We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated people, to join our team for the following position: DAY SERVICE COMMUNITY FACILITATOR - (Good Lives Model) Ref: 30/2025 Permanent Full-Time (78 hours per fortnight) Location: Upton Campus (Innishannon) Co. The Role The person/s appointed to the integrated day service will be very flexible in their approach to service provision and have the ability to work both on their own initiative and as a member of a team. He/she will work to the ethos and vision of the Brothers of Charity ensuring the needs of the service users are being met by them as directed by the Person in Charge. The model of Service will be based on the Good Lives and Stay Well planning systems. As a team member, the best interests of each person using our service will be paramount in all discussions. Emphasis will be on forming a team approach involving people supported, families, advocates and staff on all relevant issues. Work as part of the team in Day Service to develop, support and implement person centred programmes in line with HSE New Directions Framework. They will encourage and motivate the day attenders to develop and engage in programmes such as art, drama, sports, social skills, work-placements, joining community groups, with the goal of increasing independence and personal life skills. A Competency in networking, creativity and developing strong links within the community is an integral part of this role. The role may also require some rotational evening and weekends. The Candidates Must have a minimum relevant Level 5 (formerly FETAC) qualification on the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) framework OR be undertaking a relevant Social Care / Nursing Qualification Level 7/ Level 8 Must have at least 6 months experience of working in the intellectual disability sector with Adults/children. Must have Mandatory training in Manual Handling / People Moving Must have a full driving license which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads Must have experience of working with adults with behaviours that challenge Completion of module on Special Needs and/or Intellectual Disability as part of qualification is desirable Experience of using alternative communication methods is essential. Previous experience and understanding of how to support individuals with very specific needs and/or clinical support requirements and a clear understanding of the importance of working in line with written protocols and guidelines is essential. We also provide services for children and young adults across Cork and Kerry with complex needs- Intellectual, Physical, Sensory disability, Autism and children at risk of or query developmental delay; where their needs require the support of an interdisciplinary team. Applications are invited for the following post Staff Grade Occupational Therapist Ref: 31/2025 Permanent Full-Time / Part-Time options Children’s Disability Network 13 Carrigaline / Kinsale / Bandon with bases in Carrigaline and Bandon, Co. Cork. JOB SUMMARY These permanent posts arein Network 13Carrigaline/Kinsale/Bandon, which is based in Carrigaline Primary Care centre. The successful candidate will have a caseload in the Carrigaline/Kinsale and Bandon area and will be expected to drive to these areas. The successful candidates will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team providing supports to children and young people, 0-18yrs and their families. The criteria for CDNT is children with complex needs arising from a disability, who require the support of an interdisciplinary disability team. This might include children with intellectual, physical, sensory disability, Autism and children with a complex developmental delay. This team is under the national model of service provision “Progressing Disability Services for Children and Young People” lead by the HSE. The successful candidate/s will be employed by the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland. Assessment, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions are provided in the context of an interdisciplinary team. The CDNT aims to maximise the child/ young adult’s full potential and works within the context of the family and community, empowering and supporting parents/care givers and family members . The Therapist will work in conjunction with other team members in co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the children and their family and the objectives of the organisation. The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for the provision of a high quality Occupational Therapy service and will carry out clinical and educational duties as required. The Candidate: Statutory Registration, Professional Qualification, Experience etc. Each candidate for the appointment must possess the following: Be registered, or be eligible for registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. Candidates must maintain annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU and must confirm annual registration to the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland – Southern Region by way of the annual Safety Assurance Certificate (SAC). Experience Post qualification clinical experience of working with children & young people for one year or more is highly desirable. Ability to work as part of an inter-disciplinary team and other agencies is essential. Experience of carrying out assessments with children & young people with complex needs, within the scope of the OT role and interdisciplinary team working is highly desirable. Experience of working in partnership with families is desirable. Experience of developing and coordinating individual family service plans (IFSPs) or equivalent in line with relevant progressing children’s disability (PDS) policies and procedures would be beneficial. Demonstrate a command of the English language so as to effectively carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role. Candidates must possess the requisite clinical and administrative capabilities to fulfil the functions of the role. Annual registration Practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the Occupational Therapists Register maintained by the Occupational Therapists Registration Board at CORU. AND Confirm annual registration with CORU to the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland – Southern Region by way of annual Safety Assurance Certificate Health Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service. Strategic Asset Manager
Responsible for the implementation and delivery of the Council’s Estates Strategy to ensure the Council’s assets are managed and safeguarded in accordance with legislative requirements, governance arrangements, policies, procedures and best practice. As Council’s Asset Management Champion, develop and lead on an Asset Management Plan, in accordance with the Council’s Estates Strategy, to manage and optimise the value derived from land and property assets. Responsible for the establishment of an Asset forum and the performance of the asset base and associated outcomes. Oversee the management of the Councils Asset Register. Recycling Attendant
The post holder will be primarily based at one of the Councils 9 Household Recycling Centres (HRCs) but may be required to work at any of the other HRCs on occasion to meet the needs of the service. The post holder will be responsible to the HRC Supervisor for the day-to-day operation of the Councils HRCs. To undertake all duties associated with the operation of the Household Recycling Centre/Amenity Site to ensure that all domestic and commercial waste is disposed of in accordance with the Council’s policy for recycling whilst providing the highest level of customer care at all times. The Household Recycling Centres are licensed Waste Management facilities and must operate in accordance with licensing conditions stipulated by DAERA (NIEA) including being manned at all times whilst open.
