The post holder will have responsibility for supervising the efficient operation of the Rathmullen Social Activity Daycare Centre, ensuring the delivery of engaging social activities, development of nutritious and appealing menus, provide supervision of scheme participants and volunteers, supervise food preparation as needed. To ensure compliance with health care regulations relevant to the service and in conjunction with the centre committee ensure general administration and financial reporting requirements are completed in line with internal process and procedure and relevant legislation and regulations. CORLANN –WEST REGION POST: PERMANENT PART-TIME SENIOR COMMUNITY FACILITATOR Strokestown Adult Services – (Strokestown, Elphin, Tulsk, Ballinagare & Ballaghaderreen areas) Ref: 101046 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Senior Community Facilitator Appointments within the Cruachan Services will be made over the next 6 months. Location: Assignment to Cruachan Services, initially based in the Strokestown/Tulsk area. Future developments within the services may require that you are prepared to transfer to other work locations as the service needs demand.# The Role: This is a direct support/front line role providing support to an individual with Intellectual Disability, Autism and Complex Behaviours. The successful candidate will take a lead role with the implementation of the Behaviour Support Plan and leading the team to deliver a quality-based service. This will involve supporting the Individual during behaviours of distress. This role includes working as a key worker to support and advocate for the individual supported by the service. The role is to support the person in all aspects of their life focusing on the individual’s ability while promoting independence and development of skills. The successful applicant will work within an interdisciplinary team as a member of Children’s Disability Network Team 9, North Cork City and Blarney. The post holder will support to children with complex needs, and their families. This will include children with physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities and autism. Opportunities for professional development in this role will include assessment and monitoring of physical development, postural management equipment prescription, collaborative goal setting, individual and group intervention and ongoing service delivery to children with complex needs arising from a disability. The physiotherapist will be offered regular supervision with senior colleagues to support skill development. The post holder will be required to work across a variety of settings including the clinic, hydrotherapy pool, preschools, schools and special schools, children's homes and community settings. CDNT 9 also work closely with CHO4 Physical Disability Support Services to assess and monitor the complex physical and orthopaedic needs of the children on the caseload (posture, muscle length and muscle tone, hip and spinal surveillance.)
