Learning Resource Assistant
The Learning Resources Assistant will work under the direction and guidance of the Learning Resource Officer / Careers and Learning Resources Manager to ensure the provision of an up-to-date information service to support students with their studies and will have a key role in providing IT support to students and staff using the Learning Resource Centre (LRC). The Learning Resources Assistant will work as part of a team to provide an efficient and effective first-line support service for all users to ensure that they access appropriate learning resources within the centre. The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member: Ref 26-195-TL-TL-WEB Job Role Team Leader (Days OR Nights) Location Twisel Lodge, 19A Church Ave, Holywood, BT18 9BJ Salary £15.14 per hour Hours Full-Time - 36 hrs and 45 mins per week Part Time 24 hrs and 30 mins per week Flexibility is required to work within the rota system in order to meet the needs of the residents. If you are passionate about making a difference to the lives of others and caring for people who have a learning disability and associated complex needs we would love to meet you! The Service Twisel Lodge in Holywood Co. Down, is a residential home, registered with RQIA to provide services for 8 adults who have Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs. For most of our residents Twisel Lodge is their home however as part of the eight-person service, we also provide a ‘respite’ facility through which adults with learning disabilities can come and stay with us for a break. This service provides an opportunity for the main carers to get a break from caring duties and enables them to refresh and to be able to continue their caring role. The Role The team leader will support the Registered Manager to develop and implement personalised care plans and individual risk assessments to meet individual needs. They will support the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of quality care. The role requires participation in the delivery of person-centred care, including personal care and promotion of a team approach at all times with positive and constructive working relationships for the benefit of the service user. A minimum of RQF Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a health & social care or related discipline AND at least 2 years’ experience in a social care setting providing support/care. OR A minimum of GCSE English & Maths (A* - C) or equivalent AND at least 3 years’ experience in a regulated care or support environment. 2. A Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities 3. Capital Projects Manager
** Please read the recruitment pack before completing your application ** Job Summary The Capital Projects Manager will be responsible for the effective day to day management of the delivery of the Council Capital Projects programme assigned to the Corporate Services Directorate and for and implementing the Council’s strategies, within their areas of responsibility. In this capacity, the postholder will provide effective management to their section(s) ensuring service excellence and value for money. The postholder will support the Head of Capital Projects to create a high performing culture through their contribution to the development and delivery of the key objectives of the Directorate and Department. They will support transformational change within the Capital Projects Section ensuring and implementing integration of new and current functions and responsibilities. Duration of Appointment Permanent. Work Pattern 36hrs Monday – Friday. This post is eligible to participate in the Flexi Scheme. Location Downshire Civic Centre Whilst the Council are recruiting for a permanent Capital Projects Manager in Downpatrick, please note that a reserve list will be compiled for future permanent, temporary, full time and part time Capital Projects Manager positions at Council Offices in Downpatrick, Newry and other Council locations for a period of 12 months. Salary PO2 spinal point 31-34, £43,149 - £46,579 per annum based on a 36 hour week (pro rata to hours worked). Plus 19% employer pension contribution. It is Council policy to appoint at minimum salary scale point.
