I am a full-time wheelchair user living independently in my own home, and I am looking for someone reliable, capable and confident to support me in living my life the way I choose. This is a **non-medical Personal Assistant role**. I am not looking for a traditional carer — my PAs are essentially **an extension of my arms and legs**, helping me with the things I cannot physically do myself. ### **The Role** A typical shift will start at **6:30pm and finish at 4:00pm the following day**. Additional hours may be available for the right candidate. The role can involve: * Assisting with personal care * Supporting me when attending social events and activities * Driving my wheelchair-accessible vehicle * Housework and keeping my home organised * Meal preparation * Following instructions and supporting me with my daily routine * Helping me to maintain my independence and enjoy an active social life ### **The ideal candidate** I am looking for someone who is: A female personal assistant due to personal nature of the job * Reliable, responsible, and trustworthy * Confident and able to work independently * Comfortable following instructions and taking direction * A good communicator with **fluent English** * Flexible and willing to get involved in different aspects of daily life * Respectful of my independence, privacy, and personal choices **Applicants must be aged 25 or over** due to insurance requirements for driving my wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
