Key duties associated with the role: · Support each person to effectively communicate and to ensure they make informed decisions, exercise choice, control and autonomy in their life. · Contribute to and monitor outcomes for the person as identified in the personal planning processes. · Identify supports and work in partnership with the individual, their family and other supports as outlined within individual plans Essential Criteria for Applicants: · Previous experience of supporting individuals presenting with an Intellectual disability · Experience of promoting community inclusion and active participation. · Experience providing individuals with positive behaviour supports · Experience working with families, clinicians and other networks of support · Possess excellent communication skills · Have experience of implementing positive behaviour support programmes. · Have experience of a key working role, focusing on promoting independence and community integration. Essential Qualification required: The successful Social Care Worker candidates must have the following: Qualifications required · QQI Level 7 Bachelor of Arts in Applied Social Studies (Disability) - Open Training College · Level 7 award in Social Care/Studies delivered by TUD, Institute of Technology, DIT or National University of Ireland; · CORU Registration or be in the process of registration. o For a full list of approved qualifications, please see link here. Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with February ‘26 HSE revised consolidated Social Care Worker pay scale point 1; €40,851 – point 12 LSI; €57 217 per annum based on working a 39-hour week . Professionally Qualified Basic Grade Social Work Part Time, Fixed Term 12 month Contract Coolock Children’s Disability Network Team This is an exciting opportunity for a basic grade Social Worker to support children and their families, presenting with complex needs arising from a combination of intellectual, physical, and/or sensory disabilities. The Social Worker is a valuable member of the Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT), will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The structure with in each CDNT comprises of a Social Work Team Leader, Senior Practitioner and Basic Grade posts. There will be opportunities for training and regular clinical supervision is provided. This temporary post is assigned to the Coolock Children’s Disability Network Team. Staff will see children in the Coolock CDNT offices in Coolock Primary Care Centre, Cromcastle Road. Children will also be seen at home and in preschool/school.
