Key Purpose of the Post The post holder will act as the first point of contact for members of the public seeking to access Leisure services. They will, as part of a team, ensure that services are convenient and accessible, delivered to the highest possible standards of Customer Service, and strive to ensure our customer service standards are met. A wide range of enquiries and transactions should be dealt with at the first point of contact in Leisure services. The post holder will be required to maintain up-to-date knowledge of Leisure services and functions and ensure the relay of accurate and timely information to members of the public. Duties and Responsibilities Customer Service and Administration Deal with a wide range of Leisure enquiries as first point of contact via telephone, letter/e-mail, face-to-face, and other mediums. Take bookings and payments for use of facilities and services within the centre, adhering to all cash handling procedures. Reconcile monies, e.g., security of cash, cheques, vouchers, credit and debit cards, petty cash, etc. Check all data against daily records, e.g., unpaid. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly statistics, record all stock, and complete end-of-year reports. Record inventory when required. Assist with producing marketing leaflets, booklets, and web-based marketing methods. Demonstrate a team approach to achieving the objectives of the administration team through flexibility in relation to tasks undertaken. Process memberships and associated administration. Perform general administrative duties such as filing, archiving, photocopying, etc. Adhere to the Council’s Customer Service Standards including:

Location: The post location will be confirmed with the successful candidate. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Classroom duties and allied tasks Support student learning in class and/or during study time by providing high-quality learning support, including: Accompany students to and from class. Notetaking in class. Liaison with lecturing staff on student’s behalf as requested by the student. Acting as reader/writer in examinations as required. Helping students use appropriate literature to assist them with their work, either in a group or on an individual basis. Reading aloud and/or recording relevant chapters of textbooks. Give practical help, where required, to those students who have a range of learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities. Liaise with the Student Engagement and Support Officers regarding additional support needs of students. Supervise and assist student(s) at break and lunch time as required. Assist with First Aid/Fire Evacuation procedures as required. Assist students in accessing all parts of the College building and facilities. Undertake a range of administrative duties associated with learning support provision across the College. Provide support to Lecturing Staff within the learning environment. Undertake other relevant duties as assigned by the Line Manager. Specific Learning Difficulty Classroom Support / Special Educational Needs Assist the lecturer with the support and care of students with special needs, e.g., enable access to the curriculum; attend to personal needs including dietary, feeding, toileting, etc. Develop an understanding of the specific needs of the student(s) to be supported. Assist with authorised programmes (e.g., Education Plan), participate in the evaluation of the support, and encourage student(s) participation in such programmes. Assist with operational difficulties and non-invasive medical/clinical difficulties pertaining to student(s) disabilities. Assist student(s) in moving around college and on and off transport. Give practical help, where required, to those students who have a range of learning difficulties and/or physical disabilities. Undertake other relevant duties as assigned by the Line Manager.
