MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB This role sits within our Finance pillar in the newly created Corporate & Support Services Directorate. As the compliance manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Mid and East Antrim Borough Council operates with integrity, transparency and accountability across strategic procurement, insurance and audit & risk management functions. The Compliance Manager will provide strategic oversight and guidance on procurement and contract management, develop and implement effective risk management practices across the council, ensure appropriate insurance arrangements are in place and drive improvements in governance by managing internal audit relationships and supporting the implementation of audit recommendations. You will be responsible for providing guidance, briefings and training to SMT, officers and elected representatives on procurement, risk, insurance and audit matters - promoting best practice and compliance with regulatory and governance standards.
