Pre School Support Worker
Pre School Support Service, Part-Time position We currently have vacancies for part time, 15 hours per week, positions in our Preschool Support Service This service assists children with additional needs to attend early year’s education settings by providing a support worker to work within the child’s local preschool. Preschool support workers support each child to achieve their potential while participating in the preschool programme. The successful candidate must be able to work independently, have excellent knowledge of child development and be able to advocate for the child. Ongoing, In-service training is provided, with support from the child’s CDNT and the Preschool support service coordinating team. The successful candidate must possess : · Minimum of QQI level 5 in Childcare (full 8 modules) OR Montessori teaching qualification · 3 years experience working in an Early Years education / childcare setting with Children aged 3 to 6 years.
