BROTHERS OF CHARITY SERVICES –WEST REGION POSTS: STAFF NURSE/*ENHANCED NURSE Working Hours: • 2 x Permanent Full-Time 78 hours a fortnight All posts are based on a 14-day duty roster. The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and night duty to meet service needs. The Brothers of Charity Services model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Annual Leave: 24 days pro rata per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration (Department of Health salary scales as at 01/03/2025 apply): Staff Nurse - €36,919 x 12 increments - €53,340 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Long Service Increment €54,928 per annum (pro-rata for part-time) is granted after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. *Enhanced Nurs e – € 43,872 x 7 increments - €55,093 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). JOB SUMMARY The person/s appointed to this post will work as part of inter-disciplinary team delivering a coordinated approach to children/young people from 0-18 years across all disabilities which includes intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities sensory/motor disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders. She/he will be required to work as a key worker for particular cases. The reporting relationship is to the Children Disability Network Managers. Clinical governance and Clinical supervision will be provided by the Head of Department. The Social Workers will ultimately be responsible to the Director of Services. The Social Workers will work in conjunction with other team members in a senior role co-ordinating and developing the service to meet the needs of the service user group and the objectives of the organisation and the Kerry Intervention & Disability Services. The Social Workers will be responsible for the provision of a high quality service and will carry out Social Work duties as required. The Candidate: Professional Qualifications, Experience etc. Eligible applicants will be those on the closing date for the competition: Each candidate for the appointment must Be registered or eligible for registration, on the Social Work Register maintained by the Social Work Registration Board at CORU AND Have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant post qualification experience of working as a Professionally Qualified Social Worker with disability preferable AND Have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office AND Provide proof of Statutory Registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU before a contract can be issued AND Have a full driving licence which qualifies you to drive on Irish roads with means of transport. Annual registration On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Registration Board at CORU. AND Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland by way of the annual Patient Safety Assurance Certificate (PSAC). Health Candidates for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.
