Consultant Radiologist

We have a total designated bed complement of 182 beds and cater for up to 38,400 admissions and 72,500 outpatient attendances each year; we employ approx. 1000 healthcare workers. SIVUH is the regional center for ENT, Dermatology, Elective Orthopaedic, Ophthalmology (In patient & Day Cases) & Chronic Pain services and provides a significant role in the provision of Oncology, General Surgery, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Plastic Surgery, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Elective Gynaecology, Radiology and Anesthesiology services. SIVUH is a teaching hospital and affiliated with the Medical, Nursing and Health & Social Care Professional disciplines in University College Cork and has developed key relationships in terms of training with many other educational sites both nationally and locally. This is an important role that will help ensure maintenance and efficiency across the site. As part of the engineering maintenance team, you will work to implement the site maintenance strategy through delivery of a program of preventative maintenance routines & completing planned/unplanned work requests from the team’s customers. You will also minimise plant downtime caused by equipment breakdown & troubleshooting maintenance problems, outlining probable causes & suggesting solutions that will avoid breakdown reoccurrence. This is a shift-based role covering a variety of shifts from early to late, including out of hours on-call.
