This role is responsible for making trips between our various clinics and sites ensuring that samples are collected / delivered on time. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities: • Make multiple trips daily between our third-party clinics, Randox Health Clinics and Laboratories. • Conduct a sample count on each trip and complete required documentation when transporting samples. Witness the accessioning count upon delivery. • Collect stock orders and deliver them to the required site. • Complete a daily vehicle checklist at the start of each day. • Record vehicle milage in the provided logbook. • Ensure vehicles are filled with the correct fuel and Ad Blue, if required. • Adhere to all speed limits and road laws. MACS Youth Floating Support Service supports young people aged 16-25 in the community who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or need help maintaining their tenancy. General • Your role will require you to adhere to our Health & Safety policy and procedure and where necessary, bring to the attention of management, any area, piece of equipment, standard or working practice, which does not meet safe standards. • You may assist with serving meals to residents and to ensure all areas are clean and tidy after each meal. • You will help to maintain sufficient levels of cleaning supplies and equipment and advise management on replenishing supplies.

Location: Failte Community Services is a Community Outreach Programme which provides multi- disciplinary support to Adults with a Mild Intellectual Disability. Many of those we support wish to live independently in Galway City and County, to access education, work/leisure activities and community day services for young adults graduating from school or training programmes as well as those needing support with making informed choices, daily life issues, relationships and health and well-being. The service aims to promote independence through enabling adults to live a full and active life safely in their communities. This is achieved through the provision of therapeutic supports, frontline services and the promotion of meaningful community engagement. We work in on going partnership with people supported by the service and other agencies to maximise the use of community resources. We provide a services which are person centred and individualised, adaptable and versatile in order to respond to the needs of people supported by the service. All the supports are underpinned by our BOC policies and procedures, Personal Outcome Measures, Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015 and HSE Safeguarding Vulnerable Persons at Risk of Abuse. The Role: Community Support Workers Horizon Programme provide a key-working supportive role and assist in the delivery of community support to individuals with Mild Intellectual Disability and sometimes a secondary diagnosis of Mental Health, some of whom may present with behaviours or lifestyles that can be deemed as challenging. This role comprises of mainly one to one working with individuals in the local community or sometimes in their own homes. A vital part of our Community Support Worker role is developing a community profile through; researching the local area, linking with local organisations and clubs, liaising with educational and training bodies and building positive and lasting relationships with all public and private services who assist the individuals we support to live independent lives in their communities. A major focus of the Community Support Worker role will also be encouraging and assisting individuals supported to develop their own life plans based around needs and interests. The Community Support Worker will work closely and inclusively with significant others involved in the individuals life such as family / next of kin and be supported and guided their practice by service social work, psychology, psychiatry and management when required. The Community Support Worker Arts Alive will work in our community based service in Galway City working in an exciting service with people who have a passion for life and for the arts.
