The ‘Access to Information’ (A2I) team is tasked with ensuring that systems and solutions being introduced within the health system are interoperable and integrate with each other. The function has an enterprise wide view of health solutions so that information can flow easily through the system and can be reused and redirected where appropriate. The team develop, support and manage services which can enable change and improved efficiencies within the Irish health service through the use of connected health solutions. Components of the national technical infrastructure, platforms and products that A2I have developed and operate include:   A2I is actively leveraging these platforms and products to enable the delivery of numerous significant national programmes including the HSE App and the National Shared Care Record, which are stepping stones towards the ultimate goal of providing all patients and their healthcare providers with access to comprehensive digital healthcare records.  Other national programmes that we are actively working on include Immunisations, eReferrals, Chronic Disease Management, GP Lab eOrdering, ePrescribing and integrating the National Children’s Hospital with other healthcare providers.  We are also responsible for co-ordinating the HSE’s GP Development Roadmap and relationship with the accredited GP Practice Management System vendors.  The A2I team uses Agile methodologies to deliver our platforms and products focussing primarily on cloud based solutions.   Reporting Relationship Reports to Director, A2I Programme Direct reports may include a number of staff at Grade III to Grade IV level including technical specialists. Purpose of the Post To ensure delivery of major ICT enabled change programmes on time, within budget, to a specified level of quality and to ensure that business benefits are delivered in conjunction with the services in which the programme is being implemented. Location: Deerpark service is a developing community-based day and residential service in Ballinasloe. We provide community based day, respite and residential services to adults with varying support needs based on personal outcome measures. Our focus is to form a relationship / partnership with each individual and their family to support people to be valued citizens in their local community and to have ordinary life experiences. We wish to create opportunities for people who use our service to have valued social roles in their communities and to have the chance to form real friendships. Reporting/Responsible To: Team Leader/Team Manager/Service Co-ordinator/Area Manager Working With: People supported and their families/Team Leader/Multidisciplinary staff/Service Management Qualifications: A current Live Register Certificate from the NMBI (An Bord Altranais), RNID or RGN qualification is essential. A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads and use of your own car is an essential requirement. Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post. Experience: Candidates must have relevant experience and an appreciation of the responsibilities of the post and issues affecting the everyday lives of individuals with an Intellectual Disability. Skills: Candidates must demonstrate: • Good judgement, discretion and confidentiality. • The ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms, and to communicate sensitively with family members and work with them for the best outcomes. • Creative problem solving skills. • The ability to work independently and seek support from multi-disciplinary colleagues as appropriate. • Patience, flexibility, creativity and eagerness to become involved in a range of activities. • Ability to educate other staff and family members in positive health promotion needs. • The successful candidate will be required to co-operate in a team environment with a person-centred philosophy, participate in person-centred planning, individual reviews, team meetings, attend and participate in training courses, and actively contribute to team based performance management. Working Hours: 75 hours per fortnight based on a 7 day duty roster. The successful candidate will be required to work days, evenings, weekends, public holidays, sleepovers and night duty to meet service needs. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each individual. Annual Leave: 24 days per annum. Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration: Department of Health Salary scale as per HSE consolidated pay scale dated 01/03/2025: Staff Nurse - €36,919 x 12 increments - €53,340 per annum . Long Service Increment €54,928 per annum is granted after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. Enhanced Nurse - €43,872 x 7 increments - €55,093 per annum. Long Service Increment €56,706 per annum is granted after 3 years on the maximum of the scale. *As per HSE HR Circular 022/2019 – Nursing and Midwifery - the Enhanced Nurse / Midwife Practice Contract https://www.hse.ie/eng/staff/resources/hr-circulars/hr-circular-022-2019-re-enhanced-nurse-midwife-contract.pdf; once a staff nurse reaches point 4 on the Staff Nurse salary scale, they become eligible to apply for the role of Enhanced Nurse. Any Staff Nurse who wishes to avail of the Enhanced Nurse role will have to submit an application and also meet the qualifying criteria. The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous relevant nursing service. Additional payments will be made for weekends, public holidays, and sleep-ins and night duty when worked. Tenure: Permanent, full-time and pensionable Probation: A probationary period of nine months from the date of appointment applies to the post. The employment may be terminated at any time during the probationary period should the employer find that the appointee is unsuitable to continue employment.
