The Water/Wastewater Treatment Operator will have a remit over a geographical area and is responsible for the operation of treatment processes on the assigned treatment plants and carrying out routine maintenance activities on assets for an area, across a variety of sites as and when requested, in accordance with the task schedule. The Water/Wastewater Network Operator has a remit over a geographical area and is responsible for supporting the operation of the water and wastewater network in order to deliver consistent customer service and carry out routine maintenance activities on the network asset base. The Water/Wastewater Network Operator will be a key interface with the customer and will resolve issues first time where possible. The Water/Wastewater Network Maintenance & Repair Operative has an area remit and is responsible for supporting the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance and repair activities across the water and wastewater network infrastructure in a safe manner. Out of hours working will be required and appropriate overtime and standby rates will apply. *We are currently recruiting for Operators/Operatives in to fill current vacancies in Limerick and are also looking to add to a panel for future vacancies. The Role: This role is all about helping to make a difference through retail. As part of the Northern Ireland Hospice team, you’ll play a key role in driving sales, managing stock, and ensuring the smooth day to day running of our shop. This is a practical, hands-on retail role involving the regular handling and preparation of donated goods, including frequent lifting, carrying, sorting and steaming of clothing as part of day to day shop operations. You’ll help keep the shop looking its best, make sure donations are well-presented, and provide a warm, welcoming experience for customers and donors alike. Accuracy in cash handling and completing routine admin tasks will also be part of your day to day work. Part of this role involves working with and supporting volunteers and helping to recruit, train, and motivate a great team who share a passion for our cause. Flexibility is important, as you may occasionally lend a hand in nearby shops or take part in local events and promotions that help raise funds for the Hospice’s vital work. Duties and Responsibilities: Sales and Stock: • Strive to exceed sales targets for Donated Goods and other products, employing effective sales strategies. • Ensure the proper sorting, dating, pricing, and preparation of donated goods, always prioritising product safety and quality. • Responsible for maintaining and refreshing garments and footwear to ensure they are presented in pristine condition. • Build and maintain reliable sources of stock by actively networking with colleagues, the community, customers, and volunteers. • Execute routine stock control procedures, including timely culling, as needed by the Warehouse or Retail office. Administration: • Adhere to cash handling procedures, promptly depositing generated cash at the bank to minimise the risk of loss. • Complete all relevant administration tasks, including daily banking, within agreed timescales. • Ensure the shop's physical and operational security, implementing necessary measures. • Contribute to the recruitment and selection of shop volunteers. • Provide effective training to volunteers, ensuring they are well-equipped for their roles. CORLANN – WEST REGION PERMANENT FULL-TIME and TEMPORARY PART-TIME SUPPORT WORKERS POSTS CLARIN SERVICES, CLARINBRIDGE, CO GALWAY JOB REF: 95817 A panel may be formed as a result of this process from which subsequent Temporary and Permanent Support Worker appointments that arise may be made over the next 6 to 12 months within the Clarin Services. Location: Clarin service provides a number of community-based residential and day services in and around Clarinbridge area of County Galway.We provide individualised services, centre based and community-based day and residential services to adults with high support needs and with an aging profile. Our focus is to form a relationship/partnership with each individual and their family to support people to be valued citizens in their local community and to have ordinary life experiences. We wish to create opportunities for people who use our service to have valued social roles in their communities and to have the chance to form real friendships. The Role: Support Workers provide a key-working supportive role for individuals supported by the Service. This role comprises of two main elements. Firstly, the Support Worker is responsible for all aspects of personal care required during the day. This includes supporting individuals with their meals, personal hygiene and other related aspects of physical well-being, to the extent required by the individual. Secondly, a major focus of the Support Worker role is to assist and support People who use the Service with development of their Individual Plans and the achievement of associated outcomes, and critically, to support People who use the Service in participating in the ordinary everyday life of the community through inclusive and creative thinking. Reporting/Responsible To: Team Leader/Senior Staff/Team Manager/Service Coordinator. Qualifications: Applicants must have a good general education. A recognised qualification appropriate to the field of intellectual disability is an advantage. A QQI Level 5 or higher desirable. A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads and use of your own car is an essential requirement. Fluency in verbal and written English is an essential requirement of this post. Experience: A minimum 6 months experience of working in working in a health care setting and experience of supporting individuals with an Intellectual Disability is desirable. Experience of working with Individuals who display behaviours that challenge is an advantage. Skills: Candidates must be able to demonstrate flexibility, communication and team-working skills,together with an enthusiasm for the post. Some basic IT skills is also an advantage. Working Hours: All posts are based on a 14-day duty roster. The successful candidate will be required to work over a fortnightly duty rosters with evenings and weekends been part of the working roster. There may be occasional split duty hours. Sleep-ins and night duty are a requirement of these posts in order to meet service needs.
