The successful candidate will provide leadership and supervision at a local level, ensuring the service delivered is person-centred. Qualifications: All posts are based on a 14-day duty roster. The successful candidates may be required to work to accommodate an integrated day service, with weekend work, some split duty hours, public holidays, evening/night duty and sleep-ins to meet service needs. Annual Leave: 22 days per annum (pro-rata for part-time), i.e. 8.46 hours per 100 hours worked. Appropriate service related leave will be granted after 5 and 10 years’ service respectively. Remuneration: Department of Health Social Care Worker salary scale as at 01/3/2025 apply: €39,951 x 11 increments - €55,049 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Applications are invited for the following:- PERSON IN CHARGE Ref: 19/2025 Social Care Manager 1 / Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) GRADE Permanent Full-Time (39 /37.5 hours per week) Location: Adults Residential Services, Cork City/suburbs The Purpose The post holder will ensure that each person supported is supported through a person centred approach ensuring their rights are respected at all times. Emphasis will be on forming a team approach involving the person supported, families, key workers, advocates and staff including day services, ensure a meaning quality of life for each person in their centre(s),. Working towards community integration and ensuring a quality service is provided to all who use the service are essential part of the role. The person/s appointed shall ensure that the vision is delivered through our core values of Person Centred Service. Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, national Legislation including Health Act 2007 and H.I.Q.A. regulations. May take on the duties of Person in Charge for a designated centre. Post graduate training in Positive Behaviour Support is desirable Be flexible to meet the requirements of the service Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a high level of flexibility is essential Have experience of using alternative communication methods is essential Previous experience and understanding of how to support individuals with very specific and clinical support requirements and a clear understanding of the importance of working in line with written protocols and guidelines is desirable Have experience of using a person centered planning system is essential. Be computer literate including proficiency in Microsoft Office and knowledge and proficiency of using information systems Driving Licence Candidates must possess a full driving licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish roads as it is essential for the roles. 3. Age * Public Servants not affected by this legislation: Public servants recruited between 1 April 2004 and 31 December 2012 (new entrants) have no compulsory retirement age.
