Working Hours: Derry - 17.00-22.00, Monday - Friday 25 hours per week Strabane - 13.30-18.00, Monday - Friday 22.5 hours per week Salary: Scale 2 (SCP 5-7) £24,790 - £25,584 per annum pro rata KEY PURPOSE The postholder will provide day-to-day specified facility cleaning duties in accordance with standard operating procedures and health and safety obligations. Provide facility security attendant duties as required. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Duties will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying litter bins, polishing and dusting designated areas, staircases and fixtures and fittings, using where appropriate, the necessary equipment, (including working at heights) to ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene are achieved and maintained throughout the facility. 2. Empty waste (including food waste), shredder and recycling bins in offices and leave bins out for collection. 3. Ensure the safe storage, application and retrieval of all cleaning materials / substances in accordance with standard operating procedures and health and safety obligations. 4. Log and report all accidents and or spillages and identify potential hazards ensuring appropriate remedial action is taken in line with standard operating and reporting procedures. 5. Key Responsibilities 1. To accurately diagnose and record maintenance repairs for Housing Executive tenants and triage customer calls to establish work orders for issue to DLO operatives. 2. Total Financial Package The salary scale for this post (Band 3) is currently £25,584 - £26,409 per annum. Purpose/Main Objectives of Job: Responsible for the stages of the food processing supply chain from receipt, storage, processing and order picking to provide a high service level to the customer KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES: Food Processing 1. To complete food processing tasks as allocated by the QA/production supervisor and team leader, paying particular attention to the quality of the raw materials and adhering to best before dates 2. Handle product to ensure the stock arrives with the customer in a good condition, with good presentation, and not damaged 3. Pay particular attention to final presentation, wrapping, and labelling 4. Pack finished product into boxes or onto trays, again ensuring good presentation and no damage on arrival with the customer 5. Stock rotation principles of FIFO (first in, first out) must be adhered to 6. Achieve productivity and quality targets Miscellaneous 1. Participation in weekend working when required 2. Operatives can only use equipment for which they have been trained by the production supervisor or the team leader 3. Only operatives with a current certificate may use any of the mechanical handling equipment in the warehouse 4. Report all faults or damage to company property to the QA/production supervisor and the team leader 5. All operatives must wear the protective clothing supplied by the company at all times in the production area 6. Adhere to the Company Health & Safety Policy 7.
