Key Responsibilities: · To manage the activities of the medical ward service from admission to discharge, liaising with the Consultants, Nursing Staff and all other health care professionals and support services. · Communicate results of assessments, treatment / care programmes and recommendations to the team and relevant others in accordance with service policy / as required. · Quality assurance within their designated area(s), as well as overseeing and maintaining high standards of clinical practice, and ensuring the efficient allocation of resources. · Managing staffing levels, fostering staff development, and promoting practice development initiatives to enhance the skills and capabilities of the nursing team. · Be responsible for the co-ordination, assessment, planning, implementation, and review of care for patients according to BSHS standards. · Maintain compliance with safety protocols, policies, and best practices in patient care. · Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and experience.
