This role is responsible for the response of machine breakdowns and to identify the root cause, create solutions, and carry out corrective action as appropriate. This is a varied role that will require you to develop a varied skillset, including: • Perform planned preventive maintenance and update schedules as needed. • Assist with equipment validation. • Maintain technical documentation (specifications, drawings, calculations, reports, and procedures). • Identify repeat failures and lead continuous improvement projects to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness. • Conduct risk assessments and method statements to ensure compliance with H&S regulations. • Support maintenance of high-speed automated equipment, including advanced Filling, Capping, and Labelling machines. • Review and update critical spares. • Train and mentor team members for continuous improvement. • Participate in on-call rota on rotation. Who can apply? Essential criteria: • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. • 3-5 Years of manufacturing maintenance or related experience. • Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, drawings, catalogues, reports, and manuals. • Experience with motor control systems, process controls, pneumatics and PLC/ PC control system. • Knowledge and experience of preventative maintenance practices. • Experience of working as a Maintenance Technician, carrying out electrical / mechanical machinery repairs, fault finding and problem solving within a manufacturing environment. • Current clean driving licence. • Able to work flexible hours as required. Desirable: • Experience of similar process machinery (Filling, Capping, Labelling and Printing) • Experience In a CGMP environment. • HNC OR higher in engineering.
