In this role you will be working with samples from both our Randox Health clinics and 3rd parties in our busy laboratory. Location : Unit D/E, 21 Time Place, Corrig Road, Sandyford Business Park, Dublin 18, D18 R89T. Contract Offered : Full time, permanent. Working Hours / Shifts : 40 hours per week, across 4 days, working 5pm to 3am. Please note due to the working hours, public transport is not accessible for the shift finish times. What does this role involve? This role is responsible for assisting with routine clinical testing in our laboratory. The main duties of the role include: • Routine use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMs). • Receipt and accession of external, Randox Health, Clinical Trial, Internal R&D, Production, EQA and QC Samples for Analysis. • Specimen Analysis, Storage and Disposal. • Maintenance of Sample Inventory. • Strict adherence to chain of custody procedures throughout the analytical process. • Operation and Maintenance of SYSMEX XS-1000i Haematology, Urinalysis and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) analysers. • Ownership of External Quality Control (EQA) Schemes for Urine Dipstick, Urine Chemistries and Full Blood Count involving the review, filing and storage of quality control records. • Maintenance of Stock Control in laboratory. • Removal of expired products. • The preparation of specimens for transportation to ensure that their stability is safeguarded during shipment to the appropriate analytical laboratory. • Recording and monitoring of temperatures for laboratory equipment. IT Support Technician
Key Responsibilities: General IT Support · Provide 1st Line Technical Support across all departments. · Assist with software and hardware support in a timely and efficient manner. · Minimise interruptions to IT services by troubleshooting issues promptly. · Liaise with third-party suppliers or support services when necessary. · Train and transfer knowledge to internal teams. Data & Software Support · Diagnose and maintain production and office software and equipment. · Perform data analysis including warehousing and report creation. What does the Freeze Dry team do? Randox is the 2nd largest manufacturer of Quality Control products globally. Diagnostic Laboratories are obliged to use these QC products to ensure the accuracy and precision of their processes and equipment used. We have a growing number of serum-based products. Some are sold as freeze-dried. The Freeze Dry team are responsible for the dispense of all these QC controls, calibrators and reagents. Once dispensed through a variety of methods including semi-automatic hand dispensing and through a new high speed dispense line. These products are then loaded onto any one of our freeze dryers and then unloaded once the product is dried. Location: Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Rd, Antrim BT41 4FL. Contract Offered: Full-time, Permanent Working Hours / Shifts: 5pm to 3.40am. Will mostly be Monday to Thursday, however some weekend work may be required. What does the Manufacturing Technician role involve? This role is responsible for the dispense of Randox freeze-dry control materials by following our departmental procedures. This is an extremely varied role that will require you to develop a varied skillset, including: • The operation of semi-automatic dispense machines to dispense quality control material and regents. • The operation of fully automatic high speed dispense, capping, and labelling lines. • The operation of the loading, operation, and unloading of freeze dryers. • General maintenance and cleaning of all machinery and equipment. • Accurate and detailed completion of manufacturing records. • Assisting in the training of staff in departmental procedures and systems. • Accurate use of stock control systems. Who can apply? Essential criteria: • Excellent organisational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritised work in a logical fashion. • Good numerical, verbal, and written communication skills. • Ability to obtain and develop multidisciplinary skills • Apply efficiency and lean manufacturing methods to every task. • Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment. • Full UK driving licence.
