CORLANN – WEST REGION 1 X PERMANENT PART-TIME COMMUNITY OUTREACH WORKER CASTLEREA ADULT SERVICES (Castlerea, Ballintubber, Ballinlough, Cloonfad areas) JOB REF: 101010 A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled. Location: Clonard Adult Services (Castlerea, Ballintubber, Ballinlough, Cloonfad areas). Staff allocation could be either within day/residential/respite settings or in community services. The appointee will initially commence working in one particular area of the Clonard services and this work location may change due to future service needs. The Role: The Community Outreach Worker will support people to build confidence, access their community, provide opportunities for social engagement and personal development. The Community Outreach Worker will be involved in the development and implementation of educational, vocational, and recreational opportunities for people supported in the service. The successful candidate will fulfil a key worker role for people supported and will work to develop active roles and increase participation in local communities. The Community Outreach Worker will provide practical assistance and support to each person to develop links in the community. Qualifications/Experience/Skills: Candidates must have: Working Hours: 39 hours a fortnight based on a 14 day duty roster. The successful candidate will be required to work days, late evenings, weekends, public Holidays and irregular rosters from time to time in order to meet service demands. There may also be a requirement to support people on short breaks and overnight support on occasion. Contracted hours of work are liable to change over 7 days to meet the requirements of the service. The Corlann model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures quality and person centred planning system requiring employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each person supported. Annual Leave: 23 days per annum (pro-rata for part-time), i.e. 8.46 hours per 100 hours worked. Remuneration: Department of Health Instructor / Supervisor salary scales as at 01/06/2026 apply: €36,291 x 12 increments - €52, 406 per annum (pro-rata for part-time). Salary quoted is based on a 39 hour working week. The successful candidate will be granted incremental credit subject to satisfactory verification of previous public sector service.
