Purpose of the Job As part of the Maintenance team the Maintenance Fitter will assist in problem solving activities on key technical equipment problems and provide support to maintenance teams on technical equipment when required. They will work closely with all staff in each area to ensure the smooth running of core business plant, maximise the utilization of machinery and equipment, proactively work to eliminate plant downtime and make improvements to the processes. Hours of Work Dayshift: Thursday to Sunday; 7.00am to 5.30pm Flexibility required to cover days, as required, during holiday periods / project work, etc.

Purpose of the post The person appointed will carry out building and carpentry maintenance and repair works as part of a multidisciplinary team comprising of engineers, Craftworkers, general operatives and supporting contractors. To deliver a prompt, efficient cost-effective customer focused service in a team environment. Details of service St Josephs Care Centre is located on the Dublin Road Longford. This facility consists currently of a 60-bed elderly care unit and construction has commenced for large extension to the building. The facility also consists of a Mental Health Day services unit, Small X- Ray department, out of hours GP service, Dental services, Ambulance station and Administration Buildings which serve other departments not located on the grounds of St Josephs. The Maintenance Department of St Josephs also covers daily maintenance of outlying Health Centres and HSE Residential House which include intellectual Disabilities, Mental Health Residential and Child Residential units, which are located throughout the County of Longford. St Lomans is located on the Delvin Road Mullingar. This facility consists of 44 bed care unit and day care services. The facility also consists of a Mental Health Day services unit, out of hours GP service, Dental services, Ambulance station and Administration Buildings which serve other departments not located on the grounds of St Lomans.
