Qualifications/Experience · Specialist registration with the Medical Council of Ireland in Histopathology · Will be expected to demonstrate leadership. · S/he may have additional experience in other specialist areas to meet the needs of the Hospital. There may be the opportunity to develop other special interest sessions dependent on the need. · The post-holder will be responsible for the management of patients under his/her care, and, in liaison with consultant colleagues, continuity of care when the candidate is absent. · Teaching and audit experience; ability to support postgraduate training and research. · Strong communication and leadership skills in a multidisciplinary environment. · Experience in clinical governance, laboratory accreditation (ISO 15189), and quality improvement. · Expertise in Thoracic, Dermatology-Pathology and cytopathology are required.
